A useful addittion to Lego gears would be a 24T one way clutch similar to the white 24T clutch gear which would allow drive in one direction only but prevent rotation the other way.

hi everyone, I have a question about these two driving ring connectors

26287.png

and

18948.png

I made a similar gearbox (almost same design actually but gear ratio different and narrower, I do not own Porsche set though) like Porsche but I do not have 26287 so I used 18948. switching gear requires some force, actually expected it but I am curious if new driving ring is very smooth compared to white one. Is 26287 really necessary for smooth gear switch or 18948 is enough or very similar actually? I also thought about the old one but new one is easy to implement in gearbox.

thanks

The red one does not have any friction so the driving ring just slides on the axle without clicking.

Thanks JJ2. I tested with white one and it requires some force so I will wait for red driver to be included into other sets hopefully

Why wait? That part is available now on lego bricks & pieces for £0.32

Almost all the new parts from the 2016 sets are there too. Wheels and tyres from claas are not availavle yet.

You need to do your "Bricks & Pieces" order first, which then appears in your normal S@H shopping cart where you can spend your VIP point and everything else you do with normal order. It just you won't get any VIP points for "Bricks & Pieces" order.

Hey guys, I did some searching, and i have found a place that is not an Ebay store, where you can get some Lego compatible pneumatic tubing. Philo actually discovered this stuff.

Versilic Tubing.

It's available on Amazon, under science, and lab supplies, and there are many lengths available. What you are after is the tubing that is 1/8 inch(4mm) Outside diameter, and 1/16 inch(2mm) Inside diameter. You can get 50 feet for only $30 US, which is a pretty spiffy deal. This is particularly relevant now, because we are having a pneumatic contest running now, so some people might need it.

Excuse me folks, but I found this while setting up a wanted parts list on bricklink. Could anyone help me on what this is and why it's there?

Don´t worry, so, what do you need?  Now i see, as i know that part is just like a normal liftarm, but it has 16 pin holes (as far as i know).

I would like to know how I can get my hands on a couple of these:

And what's the deal with it?

Just to note, I found it on bricklink.

It's thin and sixteen studs long..

thanks,

I think it is just for catalog at bricklink, not for sale (yet),seems to be an extremely rare piece, it actually looks to be a lever, it has 14 pin holes, and one cross-axle hole in each side, so far i haven't been able to find a seller, maybe you can try by searching it in internet as "Lego liftarm02", which is its name.
