I've received sets 75523 Scarif Shoretrooper and 75525 Baze Malbus today, and they have a few recoloured Technic parts that might be useful. The Shoretrooper has parts 18654 and 6536 in tan, and Baze Malbus has parts 22961 and 33229 in red, part 99021 in dark brown, part 60483 in dark tan and part 62462 in gunmetal. Here's a pic of the inventory of each set :

It's not immediately obvious from the pic, but this here is an 11M cross-axle in Medium Stone Grey (element ID 6178172), found while wandering around LEGO's image server... no information about which sets it could appear in, but knowing about it should ease the concerns of some builders.

EDIT: there's a whole load of other stuff too, if you like dark brown and variants of purple

Cheers.....there are also new recolours on the new Lego Boost educational set:

As you can see a recolour in Orange of those rubber studs used on the tracks....i assume some Nexo Knights set will feature these heavily.

Also...the part database at Brickset (via Lego) has been updated, re; January 3rd 2017:

http://brickset.com/parts/new-03-01-17/page-1

I am continuing to see build/review videos for non Technic sets to see can i spot any new recolours or old parts brought back into production.

Also....the new 2017 Jet has a 1x7 thin liftarm in White...which is a new part available in that length: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=537#T=C

So, after the page-scrolling mess that was my initial new parts review*, I decided to make a nice little separate page with all the new bits so far - it will be updated as and when new things are discovered:

http://gnac.neocities.org/lego_2017_technic.html

Some parts here are not necessarily "new" in terms of the design and colour combination, but they do have elements IDs which suggest that something about them has changed. They might not even officially appear with those design IDs, as we've seen before with things like this.

Also, about the page itself: the links at the top lead to Brickset - some of which won't actually work until LEGO CS updates their inventories and Huwbot adds the parts. Parts names appear when hovering over images, and doing the same with the colour bar below them gives a description of the colour.

* I'll be wiping that post since it looks crap and this supercedes it anyway

...if they are transparent enough...from 42063 set it looks like some foggy thansparent and not clear one :sceptic:

I believe someone mentioned that the clear plastic in this curved panel has an outer surface that is slightly "grainy" (don't remember their wording). I don't know why that is though.

I think they probably called it "matte."

Anyways, where is that transparent panel from? BMW Bike?

Because it uses the same mold as the opaque panel.  Nearly all panels have a texture instead of being completely smooth.  When made in clear, this results in a matte finish.

I'm sure different mould is used for clear piece, since it is made different plastic. TLG uses different moulds for same part even if they are different colours.

My explanation for "frosted" piece would be the fact that this parts has higher surface area and all scratches would be easy to spot, even the minor ones. Frosted texture isn't affected by minor scratches, so the part would look good longer period of time.

Without someone from TLG to answer, there is no way to know for sure.  However, I do not think it has anything to do with scratches.  There are 6x6 clear flat panels that look great.  I didn't mean that they used physically the same mold, I mean the same type of mold (another duplicate of the same thing).  To even program the mill to make a different version would cost a lot.  It is pretty clear (pun intended) that the new clear version has the same texture as the opaque versions.

Not necessarily. For System parts, Lego often does use different molds for transparent colors, because the tolerances for transparent Polycarbonate pieces are slightly different from those for solid-colored ABS pieces. However, I was under the impression that most Technic parts, were already Polycarbonate whether they were solid-colored or transparent. In those cases Lego could and would use the same mold design regardless of what color the part in question was being cast in.

It would be interesting to know the actual material variations.  For example, pins and axles are clearly a softer, more flexible material than liftarms and connectors.  Thin liftarms are even stiffer yet.  Panels, in my observation, tend to be pretty flexible and I'd estimate that they are the same material as pins and axles.

I personally believe they most likely use ABS or PC/ABS blend for almost all their parts.  PC for clear pieces only.  The cost is significant between PC and the other options.  As for pins being more flexible or rigid.  You just need to look at the geometry of the part.  For instance the pin with hole (15100) part is much harder to insert than a regular pin but the wall thickness between the two parts is dramatically different.  Also the slot which allows the ends to move inwards is different between the two.  The regular pin is much longer allowing much more flexibility.

Got 8 of them, none if which are currently used

I have seen the prices though, and 2€ almost seems too good to be true.

i posted the link, i dont need them either....but the price was too juicy to turn up :-)

One part I wish TLG would make is a more narrow version of the big track links, more suitable for machines like drilling rigs which IRL uses more narrow belts.

I know the smaller track links are more narrow, but I find those too "fragile" and weak.
