Aventador2004 Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 @Erik Leppen I was needing it right now! So many times I need a part like that. Quote

It's a frame avant la lettre :) The only problem with it is that when I use it in a model, and then create instructions for that model, then many people cannot rebuild my model because its a rare out-of-production Bionicle part. The mold for the part is probably long gone... That LA bracket thing you showed is also super rare (it was only used in one set), and costs 6 euro used, so not an option. The 2x2x2 cross block is brilliant, but if its pinhole is pinned to a beam, it blocks the holes adjacent to the pinhole. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Just now, Erik Leppen said: That LA bracket thing you showed is also super rare (it was only used in one set), and costs 6 euro used, so not an option. Funnily enough, both sets were designed by Alfred Pedersen. Quote
Erik Leppen Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Thanks for the correction @Maaboo35. Didn't know 8295 had one too. Quote
SNIPE Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 (edited) and Would indeed be very useful. you can't always just 'leave a pinhole open' because it can still get in the way, so having one pinhole less is a necessity. Edited April 27, 2019 by SNIPE Quote
mahjqa Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Anyone know what the wheels in R2D2's side arms may be? They seem to have the new 8-tooth gears inside. Quote
pleegwat Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I think those tires are in the RTC. Lego part number 4246901. Quote

I'd love to see creative uses for this part so i could actually utilize them.. I originally bought a bunch of them because they were cheap. Quote

If you're building a big box, these would be really useful Quote
Touc4nx Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Does someone know what are the differences between the type 1 and type 2 ? Type 1 : Type 2 : Type 2 exist only in two sets, and aren't used with driving ring, And I can't seem to see any visible differences. Quote
mpj Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Only the cross hole looks to be a little different. Quote

Erik Leppen Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Finally. That part was a long-standing omission in part availability. But it's funny how often we see new Technic recolors first appear in non-Technic sets. Lime cross block 3L in another Speed Champions Porsche, in exactly the same configuration as this white one White inline axle joiner 2L in the latest Modular Building Yellow angle connector #2 in Emmet's Tricycle Quote
Void_S Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 (edited) @Erik Leppen, I think it's due to a purpose of the parts: in the Technic series they are mostly just structural elements and it doesn't really care if they are in a neutral color like black or gray shades, the model's color is claimed by the panel elements meanwhile. For the Systems (I still use this name for brick+plate sets) these parts are structural + visual elements in the same time and it seems that TLG had no choice to color them properly as they are integral parts of the sets. Imagine that green or white Porche 911 with LBG connectors Edited June 14, 2019 by Void_S Quote

SNIPE Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 (edited) YEY the new 28 tooth gear comes in this set. I wonder if the largest medium blue spike prime technic frames come with the 42100 too. and if the bugatti disk bakes are compatible with the new hubs. I think the new color is Medium Orange edit: OH WOW NEW CV JOINTS TOO Edited June 15, 2019 by SNIPE Quote
nerdsforprez Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Agreed. After seeing this, IMO, it is worth it. Quote
