I know he showed us quotes, but you can change what is shown in a quote box, and the whole conversation and plan seemed very staged. Perhaps they did have a real PM converstation, but that was probably centered around their scummy plans.

Stinky dave hasn't really contributing a lot today, with things like "I'm going to a corner to cry" or "as far as I'm concerned you're all scum". I'm still not voting for anyone though, I'll have to see how the day continues. Here are my thoughts: Why doesn't Duvors get a voting penalty? He edited (albeit accidentally) one of his posts, right? Also, Cutcobra completely disappeared after he got accused of scumminess, and he has only made 1 post in this thread, and it was just re-stating stuff we already new. He is on the top of my watch list, as he seemed pretty scummy early on, then just stopped posting after people pointed it out. I may change later, but for now. Vote: Cutcobra(Cutcobra) I might also point out that he said that he was suspicious of Captain Settle, who mostlytechnic was suspicious of. Basically just going along with a future band wagon that he sees coming. I was only online in the first hours and there wasn't much to post besides my suspicions. And when exactly did someone pont out my"scumminess"? I might have missed it.By the way, I'm not a guy who forsees the future of something by just knowing when to bandwagon. I'll go along with one if I actually find the person suspicious, not because I want somebody lynched.
Kintobor Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 As suspicious as Stinky Dave is (or whatever we're calling him), Captain Settle seems slightly more suspicious with his general lack of posting and bandwagon voting from yesterday. For the time being, I'm going to Vote: Captain Settle, but I intend to go back and look over the rest of the individuals who seem to be getting the most votes (i.e, Pirate, Duvors, Cutcobra)

Goliath, he first mentioned it in post #319 on Day 1: "I've been talking to Duvors behind the scenes and he is giving me the impression he is giving up which is not a very scummy thing to do; I'm starting to second guess my vote ... " The actual PMs are quoted in Post #22 of this thread. But Mencot mentions a PM to Jamesn in post #2 from this thread: "And my I add also to Jamesn´s list Lord Duvors and Scaevola because in the PM´s we shared he called them also out. Ofcourse not all of them are scum but they have some explaining to do." So PMs are okay if Mencot is involved but scummy for the rest of us because he trusts no one? Talking too much is adding fluff, but not talking enough is suspicious? And you wonder why a newbie is afraid to post anything, really?

So to clear things out, who are you talking about here, who has said these things? Because i have said PMs are Okay (not ok-ey) but everybody should be careful with what kind of info they say and get there, if it doesn´t come from someone who is confirmed town. All PM´s I have made so far have been with beware because there isn´t so much trust yet found but I am starting to trust some people and Jamesn was one of them and it was really bad (as I said and tried to stop) he was lynched.

At this point, no one is confirmed town, unless they're dead. And if they're dead, you can't PM them.

Well I can say that the conversation happened as he said it did, not that anyone will believe me. But you're a fine one to talk, as far as I can tell your only contributions are to join bandwagons with little explanation and throwing suspicion on Dave, which you could easily be doing to draw suspicion away from yourself, even if you aren't scum your lack of posts has made you generally useless to the town so far, therefore;Vote: Captain Settle(Captain Settle).

I know a lot of you still need to vote, so perhaps those who haven't voted should come to a decision on who to vote for today, and now. The only reason to not vote now is to withhold your vote for later, and that's really suspicious in my eyes. People who don't vote are doing so with a reason, whether it is because they don't know who to vote for, or they don't want a lynch, and we really need more information!

The day is almost ending (I think) so I have to decide on who to vote for. First there's Pirate Dave who didn't really collaborate in any of his posts at all, then there's Captain Settle who didn't help yesterday and isn't responding to his scum accusations. Vote: Stinky Dave (piratedave84). He seems the scummiest of the two, so... Fair enough, here's what I've seen that seems odd: The least we can do is see who MostlyTechnic was after... Stinky Dave and Captain Settle, although I started the Captain Settle bit with my second vote. P.S. - Going to bed, I'll see ya'll tomorrow. Goes to sleep... I am sure it looks weird... I explained here. As I said yesterday, there is more reason to suspect Captain Settle: both of his votes were simple "get on the bandwagon" posts. There was no reasoning ("he's annoying" for Goliath, nothing at all for Lord Duvors), and no value added. Slight explanation that doesn't satisfy me. He was one of the last to vote jamesn, which is often a scum attempt to blend in. I don't think there's any reason to read so much into the theatrical portrayals... this is Mafia, we go on what's been said by players, not by pictures posted by the host of a cosplay party where we are explicitly not the characters we're dressed up as. Ok, the whole bit about looking at pictures for clues was ridiculous so I agree with him here. Sleeping? What were you to last night? Yep its pretty much why people wouldn't want a lynch. I don't really have much to say, there is not a lot going on apart from people pointing out their suspicions which so far are Captain Settle and Stinky Dave (from what I have seen). Surprise! He's sleeping! So he sleeps constantly, posts minimally, and changes votes at the last second. Infact I am seeing that he does go to sleep a lot, which isn't much of evidence for him being scum. He is not really contributing as much either. He does seem suspicious but I think he is just being a unhelpful townie, not really scum.

This seems a little scummy, but I was really just posting timidly and being a newb. If you look at my other posts on day 1, I evolved them to be more original and more erudite. As for the lynch today, I'm still adamant in lynching Lord Duvors. I cite his initial fluff and poor justifications, as well as my observation yesterday about his fickle, scummy voting tendencies. I acknowledge that through experience Stinky Dave is a lucid reader, but I'm not sold on the PM conversation, as it could have been fabricated. However, I cannot debunk it either. However, I feel Lord Duvors extreme magnitude of scumminess in Day 1. Therefore I'm going to Vote: Lord Duvors (Lord Duvors) I certainly concur with the incrimination of Captain Settle: He contributed very little in day one, both in number and quality of his posts. Therefore, if the town rules that Captain Settle is a better lynch, I will have no qualms about supplying my vote should I consider the Duvors lynch improbable.

Not to be rude or anything but how do we know the confirmed townies? I mean can we only know who scum, town or neutral is when they die, or is there any other possible way to know?

The investigator can find someone's affiliate, and the watcher (If they exist) can get a pretty good read if they handle their duties correctly. So no, death isn't the only way, but until the night actions start to surface we have no other info.

Yes, but nobody knows who the cop is except him or her self, and that kind of makes this more difficult.

A miller is a trusted townie, we have to work together on this. Scum know who is who.
