Hewman Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 For Aussies: Toys r Us have tie crawlers for 50% off and Y-wings for about 40% off, my local had plenty in stock today.
Aramis Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Same issues with Walmart here in Utah in the USA, I went hunting for Aqua Raiders stuff, I am pissed, the one I was at had the old tags up, I could have grabbed the base for $30 but I missed out, oh well. Still hunting. I am seeing a lot of 2008 stuff showing up in our stores, but not impulse sets, or the restocking of things like the Big Castle. Will have to see what happens
Brickadier General Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 (edited) Not sure if Shop at Home Europe has a similar deal, but for North America, the Advent Calendar sets are only $6.98 now. So that's what, 75% off? Not bad. Ooooh, and look they also have the T-Intersection road plates in the old style with green borders. And by old style, I mean the 1990s. $6.99 U.S. for a pack of 2. natelite Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 hi, just like everyone to know that TRU is having a 20% d/c on the indy jones line. Despite the blatant mark ups, it's still relatively cheaper. Motorcycle chase was 10.99, now 8.79 (msrp: 9.99) race for stolen treasure was 30.99, now 24.79 (msrp: 29.99) temple escape was 69.99, now 55.99 (msrp: 59.99)

Also some other great deals Here. *sweet* if i recall correctly, the building crane retailed for $50 during christmas 2006 at target. TLC sometimes raises price on city sets. the 2005 police set was the same thing. was $50, then raised to $70, and reduced to $50 later on as a "clearance".
Derek Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Yes, I Dint even think the Police Station was worth $50, $70, forget it.

I noticed that with the 8654 Ferrari Racing Truck. The original price was 60$, but they raised it to 80$, that dissapoints me :-( To me, a 70$ set for 50$ is a good deal :-D

Sorry, but I'm really excited about these S@H deals! They won't last long, so order soon. :'-) Well spotted. Remember both these sets are sold out at LS@H Europe so it may be an indicator they are on the way out. I'd hate to think what 10030 will fetch once its no longer available on LS@H. Might be the last chance to get these sets at a very reasonable price. Remember the Europeans had to pay 369 euro for these sets!!!! David Edited February 29, 2008 by Dfenz

voltio Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 A few words about Tuesday Morning's ad: One of the sets contains "1448 pieces," and the only such set I know of is the Exo-Force 7709 Sentai Fortress! Unfortunately, however, TM often inflates the MSRP of sets to make their stuff look like a better deal. For example, I purchased a Technic Street Bike for "50% off MSRP," but they used $60 as their MSRP instead of the correct amount, $50. So if the deal tomorrow is "50% off MSRP," it might not be so good.

I couldn't afford it and the Batcave, which I still needed to get ($30). Also got the Creator Motion Power... Anyon else find any good sets at the TM sale? I imagine a lot of these same sets will be available throughout the year at TM, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc...

I got my Batmobile there for $20, opposed to $30.

Hewman Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 For all you Aussies My local Toys r us (Adelaide) has plenty of clearance sets, Y-wing, tie crawler, the UCS AT-ST plus plenty of exoforce, racers and batman sets heavily discounted. Plus Target now has 20% off all toys and they have the new Indi lego in stock
jedikermit Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 In the US, TRU has much of their LEGO "buy two, get the third free" this week. It includes Indiana Jones and Castle and several other themes (not Star Wars or City), but I only collect IJ and Castle out of the themes that it listed. Target has their Star Wars LEGO on sale too--I think it's 20% off, and only certain sets, but worth checking out.
Derek Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Yes, Target has the two $20 SW sets on sale for $15. I think i might get the Hailfire Droid for Easter. *sweet*
natelite Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 only the anakin jedifighter and the hailfire droid sets are at 25% off ($20 set selling for $15). If you buy 2 you can get further discount by using the $5 off $25 coupon. Final cost = $25 for 2 sets (or $12.50 per set). The other SW sets are on sale but for only 10% off. Best to stock up on the $10 mf parts pack since TRU sell these for 10% mark ups. TRU having a buy 2 get 3rd free sale on everything except SW,Creator and AR. Even city sets are on sale. I got all IJ sets. :-D Also a great sale for getting those impulse sets even with the mark ups. essentially you get 3 impulse for $8. if you have coupon ($5 off $25 or $3 off $3) you can make the impulse purchase sweeter. i got like 9 impulse sets. 8 knights and 1 policeman (for the pooch! :-P)

I saw this as well, but forgot my frakking wallet! Just out of curiosity, I scanned a HP OotP castle and underneath the price was the word "Promo". I doubt the cashier would balk at selling SW or others (not listed) at the 3 for 2 deal.
Marshallmario Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I saw this as well, but forgot my frakking wallet! Just out of curiosity, I scanned a HP OotP castle and underneath the price was the word "Promo". I doubt the cashier would balk at selling SW or others (not listed) at the 3 for 2 deal. Maybe not the cashier but the computer did. I forgot SW wasn;t in on the deal and had a Castle, Indy and SW set ($10.99 each) at the register and it kept coming up at $33.00, no 3/2 price. Went back and got another castle set instead and then it came up at $22.00. Went over to Target and got the small SW set I wanted on sale anyway! This was in Madison, Wi.
