The Green Brick Giant Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 (edited) Ah, I see, not too familiar with Target's sales, just thought I'd make a note of it . They always do it, they are very predictable. You can check the prices online before leaving online. I really want that Power Miner set because I'd like to add a little motor and make the thing run by itself. Edited December 6, 2009 by The Green Brick Giant

The Cobra Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 190 items are on sale on shop.LEGO.com for the US! http://shop.lego.com/SalesAndDeals/Default.aspx?va=1 EDIT: Over half of the sets are already sold out, though. Same for Italy (and possibly Europe). One half of sale items have been there for one day (?) and they're already gone.
Karto Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Same for Italy (and possibly Europe). One half of sale items have been there for one day (?) and they're already gone. Several items were sold out before they put them 'on sale'. I've seen this several times on lego.com and I'm still wondering why. At least, I hope it's not to motivate people to check the site more frequently, it would be a pity... On the other side, I guess some people (including Bricklink resellers) have good connections at TLC to be warned once the sales are put online.
Apache Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Just to confirm. The LEGO.com sale includes all Lego Store Inventory according to an Arizona Lego STore Employee. I went and bought Soldiers Arsenal X15 at $2.48 a piece. It wasn't marked down but they said that they will match any Online Sale price. When we rung up the stuff, they all came up at the Online Sale Price. They have about 10 left if anyone is interested. Also saw alot of the smaller Power Miner Sets, Red Sports Cars still available at %30 off at Targets across the valley. Peace.
The Alchemyst Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 ^^ I'd like to point out that people should call ahead before checking their Lego Store. It seems the policy changes per store, because the last time I had gone to the Lego Store in Downtown Chicago, they would not match any price on S@H =/
The Green Brick Giant Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Also 100 items are now gone from the sales section so the stores have no proof they were ever on sale.
Apache Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Yes, definatley call ahead. I would ask them to scan the item and see what it rings up with as he thought the sets were not on sale and yet they were. I called and spoke with an associate to verify that they had Arsenals in stock. They were pretty wiped out, NO indiana jones. hardly any castle, no toy story, lots of Star Wars, all of the 2010 SW sets that have been popping up were there. They were also stocking the shelves with ben-10 and Toy Story when I was leaving. Also saw snape from Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker, Admirals' daughter torso's in the build a fig.
Legoist Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Sales are now going on in many shop chains in Finland too. Basically anything that isn't a 2010 set or a licenced theme can possibly be found with a 20% to 40% discount. Some interesting finds I spotted were the 7642 Garage for ~60e, the 7633 Construction Site for ~55e and the 7637 Farm for ~48e. I was tempted by all of them, but I ended up getting the 7637 only (although I have the feeling that later on during 2010 this set can be found for less than 40).
