happymark Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Not yet. actually I never saw any PoP sets. they have a lot of ToyStory and some starwars. Have you seen any HP sets at Borders yet? This question goes for anybody in the U.S. as well. I have been checking my local Borders very frequently hoping that the HP sets will show up, but it's never a sure bet what Borders will bring in. Anybody else spotted them?

Clone OPatra Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 A heads-up, HP sets have appeared at Borders in the US, at least at the one I went to. I didn't check all the prices since I already have some of the sets, but: Castle - $150 Train - $95 Quidditch - $25 These markups look bad at face value but when more of those 33% or 40% off coupons come out they will still make for some good deals.

Clone OPatra Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 U.S. Borders Coupon Today and Tomorrow only! October 8 & 9 Get it while it's hot! Today (10/08) and tomorrow (10/09) you can use this 40% Borders Rewards coupon if you have a rewards membership! Even though the HP sets are marked up, that still brings the Hogwarts Castle down to $90 before tax, a savings of $40 over RRP. It brings the train down to $57, and the other sets will also be cheaper, obviously. Or you could use it on Borders' Star Wars sets as well, but whatever you use it on, hurry!
happymark Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) It seems that walmart(US) store has started clearance the PoP sets. about 25%-30% off original prices. YMMV. (price tags are still same. but scanner shows discounts) Edited October 11, 2010 by happymark

Oky Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Yeah, the Borders prices for the HP sets are ridiculous! Anyway, Build-A-Zurg is rolled back to $15 at Walmart, and as someone already mentioned, the PoP sets are on sale as well. There are other sets on sale as well, so just check your local store to see what they have. K-Mart stores seem to have some sets on clearance too.
Cara Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 If anyone has a link to a 33% or 40% off borders starting tomorrow or later, if you could post it that would be great. Recently they've been sending me other sorts of coupons instead. Wondering if I visit it too often so am not getting the good ones any longer. Thank you.

Cara Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Thank you very much! So yes, they aren't sending me these any longer. I was sent the 25% off most items in your purchase coupon
Tyrant Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Thank you very much! So yes, they aren't sending me these any longer. I was sent the 25% off most items in your purchase coupon Just in case that coupon isn't clear to anyone, that's 25% off your entire purchase instead of the usual one item restriction. Useful if you are buying a few things instead of just one LEGO set, though it is less of a discount on the LEGO set.

Oky Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Borders has another 33% off coupon and also a$2 off one toy coupon. The latter may not sound like much, especially since you can't combine the offers, but if you're buying something small such as a collectible minifigure, it might make a difference.

I'm getting sick of all these Borders coupons I've been getting... my local store doesn't have jack, and the next nearest store makes it not worth the drive, and you can't buy LEGO online from Borders.
Solscud007 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I went to TRU cause I got some coupons from TRU rewards. $5 TRU bucks for anything, and a $5 off $50 purchase of Legos. However it excludes Harry Potter and SW. I ended up getting the TRU delivery truck and Toy Story Buzz and Woody rocket RC set. Even better, TRU has a BOGO 50% off PLUS I got the free mini figure, last one in the store too!!! Not bad. Basically I got the Toy story set for free!!!

The Green Brick Giant Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I was at Target (USA) and they had several sets on sale, some Star Wars and some Atlantis. The Star Wars I ignore, but the newest wave of Atlantis seemed to be on sale. The $50 base/sub I think was 39, the $20 set was $15, the $25 set was $22, and a few more.
