What I see in the new Target weekly ad is: Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Harry Potter, PotC, and select Ninjago - but IN-STORE ONLY. So those who can get to a physical Target can get a better deal than online? (Assuming swarms of resellers didn't clear everything out on Sunday.)

If only it was some theme I actually wanted (but keep clearing those shelves so eventually AC and new Kingdoms should show up).

Target is advertising in their Sunday ad 'Buy one, get one 50% off' for PotC, Harry Potter and select Ninjago sets. The Website does have the sets tagged with 'As seen in our weekly Ad' but doesn't specifically mention the Bogo 50%.

So apparently, there's 3 form of this deal depending on where you live.

Option A: Buy 2 Get 1 FREE

Option B: Buy 1 Get 1 50% off

Option C: Buy 1 Get 1 30% off

The TRU reward coupon is available today, at least here in the US. You can print it out, and you have to use it before the end of the month.

What coupon are you talking about? Can you please provide a link? And how much is the discount? Thanks!

I'm talking about the "RewardsRUs" system. The way it works is that you get a TRU club card and they scan it whenever you make a purchase. For every $150 purchased in the time period (couple of months) you get a personalized $5 coupon that is only valid for you (your card number).

Here's the link to the program:

Today is the day that the personalized coupons are available to print out. I just wanted to remind everyone.

Is it just me, or is TRU Canada getting INCREDIBLY LAME with their sales?

Where's the "buy three, get 25%" sales and the "30% off" sales?? Most everything now is 20% (at best) or BOGO 50%...which is usually on stuff that I don't WANT two of the same set, so the discount ends up being TOTALLY garbage.

FYI, TRU sends me that coupon in the mail (no printing required). It's not much, but every little bit means more Lego for me!

I just want to point out some of the fine print for that program as I was starting to think it would be good to sign up prior to hitting TRU today:

...all purchases at a discount resulting from any sale, coupon or other offer or discount only qualify for $0.50 for each $1.00 spent.

So it does not seem as good as it might appear at first glance.

Oh wow. That totally explains why I only got a $5 coupon when I was expecting more like 10 or 15. Thanks for pointing that out.

I was going to post this deal too but you guys are fast.

Thats equal to 30% off.

I'd hate to sour the deal, but TRU marks their price above MSRP. So it works out to be less than 30% on most sets.

And I hate to sour it even more ( ), but it's not even 30% since it isn't buy two get one free and people very rarely would ever buy 3 different sets with the exact same price (unless you're stocking up on a particular one).

Sounds nice in theory but I'm gonna wait for a better deal.

If you buy three sets at the same price, it is indeed 30% off (ex - Three $100 sets = $100 + $100 + $10 = $210. $210/3 = $70. ($100 - $70)/$100 = 30%). B2G1 would be 33% off. This is a great deal if buying multiples of the same set.
