When I saw this set: 31023-1.jpg it looked to me like an apache or a military helicopter, I was tempted to buy one but realized that those colors would not help at the moment modding it to my taste so I downloaded the instructions and proceeded to build it with my bricks in a grey pattern (which is one of the most common color I have because I am mainly a star wars customer), in the process I made the modifications according to my brick availability and personal taste ending with this awesome little vehicle:

There are some issues in this MOC like the fact that it has no wheels because it looks that in the SW universe they barely use them but it has a retractible landing gear anyway.

I would like a little help with the gun pods on the wings and nose.

And LEGO, the next time you try to push on us an attack vehicle, try not to paint it yellow, I mean, do racing helicopters really exist? and if they do, why would they look like a combat helicopter, what's coming next? "super fun sunday beach M1 abrams tank (in pink and purple pattern)"?

C&C are welcome, and if you ask me, go ahead and try it, is quite easy to build, sturdy and looks amazing, it also fits a minifig (with proper modifications) it doesn't need of too much special bricks, I hope you liked it.

Lego doesnt do millitary stuff hence its yellow.

I know, but this is way too obvious, you can't sell a yellow "bazooka" and say is a "sport version", don't get me wrong, I would not like lego to make military sets, I just wanted to be funny.

Nice work! Its great! It looks good in greys, maybe try it in desert camo too..? Tan and dark tan or dark tan and brown...

:thumbup::classic:

Thanks, I barely had the greys to make it, tan and brown are quite the most rare colors on my brick assortment.

One could only hope! Or maybe Olivia's Nuclear Fast-Attack Sub Ocean Party Surprise!

Thanks guys, I am not sure if all bricks are available in those colors, but I am sure I dont have them, star wars palette (for the empire) is mainly based on white, black and grey.

I would like to see that, there are some custom "friendizied" SW sets that look hilarious and very imaginative.
