UsernameMDM Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Hoke down's his drink, he feels a tingling sensation crawl across his skin he becomes keenly aware of the temperature of the room and Torc's body heat seems invigorating to the Mystic Knight. For a short time Hoke has gained the ability to Absorb Fire. Hoke mounts the stairs and approaches the succubus, the shapely demon smiles at him. "Good evening, Hoke Ablesword." Torc begins to almost purr again as Hoke swallows the beverage. He smiles but otherwise tries his best to keep a solid face as he hears his name from someone he has never met. "A pleasure to meet you madame, although you will have to forgive me as I am yet to know your name."
K-Nut Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 "It's been here for about a year now, word gets around about the best local establishments fast. I've been acting for nearly 5 years, Wigglepike brought me in from Bric'lin, I can't say he has the best taste in productions, but he knows how to run a theater. And you can bet I've seen some weird things, like just last week I was nearly torn in half by some freak." "Bric'lin you say? Wouldn't happen to know Mr Stirlance, would you? He was a former employer of mine. I've gotta say, you're getting a much bigger crowd around these parts." "Torn apart you say? I've heard a lot about recent attacks around the city. Muggings are no stranger to Eubric, but not often do the Wolfgang come around and cut people apart. Hell, some people have been saying it's a full grown monster. You don't believe that, do you? Some would have seen it by now if it were,"

Barlin eyes Althior at the mention of a monster and takes a rather large tug at his tankard. The elf looks around to see if anyone is listening in on their conversation before he whispers, "Maybe some have, my friend." Edited November 7, 2014 by Waterbrick Down
K-Nut Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Althior leans in towards the Elf. "Surely you can't be serious! Sure it's not the ale talking?" He leans back on his chair, taking another sip of his drink. "So what of it? Can't just drop that bomb on someone without any explanation,"

He leans back on his chair, taking another sip of his drink. "So what of it? Can't just drop that bomb on someone without any explanation," "Ale, no my friend, I saw it with my own two eyes. I was walking back home from this very establishment. I may have had a drink or two, but let me tell you what I saw was no illusion. So there I was minding my own business when I heard someone crying. I thought to myself 'Now why would anyone be crying at this time of night.' Than it hit me, bigger than an ogre it was, came from one of the alleyways, bowled me over and sent me flying into an apple cart. Then it went storming off down the streets of Eubric, walking on two legs like nobody's business." "It is indeed. I must say it isn't everyday a hero walks through my door, especially one so... gifted."

Hell, how are you not in the infirmary after that throw? I've sparred with a few Ogres in my day, and let me tell you, those buggers are strong. But you have no idea what it actually was? Besides the fact that it was larger than an Ogre?"
Waterbrick Down Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 "Never seen anything like it. Ugly as Hel, covered in warts and gristle, not a scrap of clothing either. And let me assure you, I come from a long line of touch-as-nails actors, we've been impaled, set on fire, stoned, and drowned by our critics and we Mandos keep coming back. You think I'm not in pain right now?" The elf unbuttoned more of his shirt to show a line of nasty bruises extending down his right side. "Acting!"
K-Nut Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 "Who knew artists was just a substitute for ego." He chuckles, attempting to kid with the elf. "I am no stranger to brutal encounters on these streets." He unfurls his collar, showing a massive scar across his throat. As the actor is distracted with inspecting Althior's scar, Althior inspects the elf for any scratches and/or cuts near the bruises. He begins to speak again, "What of the crying person? Ever manage to catch a glimpse of them?"
Flare Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The Vampire sits unfazed by Benji's titles. "No bother at all, I am Carnabus Bollins III. What brings you to The Lotus?" Benji orders a Dragon Daiquiri and sips on it as Carnabus introduces himself. "I came here with Barlin Mando, the actor, he recommended this joint and I can see why. Very respectable place here, eh. So, you've got quite a name, and surely there must be quite a man behind this name, tell me about yourself?"

"If you continue this line of flattery, I will wind up how you describe Carvenhall," Hoke says with a chuckle, "You can thank the Shadeaux for Torc and my parents for my upbringing. But enough with me, I've come to speak about you."

Hoke looked around once more. Perhaps some prying eyes were directed his direction or something odd was happening or out of place. It seemed that Carvenhall was speaking with a couple while Alithor and Mando were deep in conversation.

Most of my time is spent either at the bottom of a mug full of cheap ale or alone. Hell, this is the first night I've been out on the town in months. Nothing as miraculous as the life of a celebrity..."
Flare Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) "Erm, sorry." Benji looks at him strangely and moves on, walking up the stairs to observe if anything new was going on. Edited November 9, 2014 by Flare
