ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I like the trolls. The more fantasy creatures the better. Yay for orcs, dwarves and trolls! Quote
Piranha Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I don't like the troll because -I hate myth creatures -it probably only has one or two moving parts which makes it megabloky -Its ugly and reminds me duplo castle :-X So thats why I don't like the troll :-) Piranha Quote
Corvus Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Mr. Mandalorian, shouldn't we wait until we see clearer pics to make that judgement? Of course, you're entitled to your opinion, but if you're not against the idea, shouldn't you wait until you see exactly what it looks like and how articulated it is, etc before calling it megablocks? :-) Just curious, what looks megablocksish to you? How could they be improved? I'm not instigating an argument I am simply curious. :-) <--see? I'm smiling! :-P It looks megablockish to me for two reasons. 1) It appears to be a solid peice. 2) It looks very cartooney. The dragon is one peice, but I *kind of* like it because it's not as cartooney. Part of it, I suppose, is that club. I think it would have looked a bit better with a more brick-built club. There's something else, too, but I'm not entirely sure how to say it. :-/ but I'm still smiling! Even more! *sweet* Are you challenging me female canine? If this means you'll take a spit-take of a troll by all means YES X-D :-D That almost made me do my own spit-take :-$ I'm pretty sure Pepsi would be that good for the computer screen! Quote

Thanks for explaining! :-) I think they may be more articulated than you think. And I'm actually excited about the club. It looks like it will be handy for whacking mini-figs. Well, I totally hear what you are saying. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of people who don't like the trolls. I just hope I can find something to trade with all of those people... ;-) and :-D :-D :-D yes, be careful to spit away from the monitor! Quote
Corvus Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 (edited) :-D whoops... Oh well, it's just my cat! >:-) X-D Hmm, I didn't think about the whackability (yes, that's a word). That would be helpful. However, if it is articulated enough, that should make up for it. some things, such as the head turning and being able to move the arms away from the sides would be very cool. Not to mention some great poses. 8- Edited July 21, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote
Piranha Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Leave it to Hinckley/Haole to think of whacking The club looks a little big though :-/ I'll wait until *yoda* reviews it Piranha Quote
Corvus Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Leave it to Beaver Yoda... :-P Eww... I just noticed how ugly that catapult is. :-X What is that wheel for in the top right corner of the set? Lifting a bucket, maybe? Quote
dillthepill Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I love the trolls too, I don't think they would be great if they were completely brickbuilt, their size looks better <insert that tiresome argument>. Quote
iamded Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I want to see what the goblin's/orc's/whatever's face is. They might make adequate zombies. *skull* :-D Quote

Batbrick Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Yeah I was thinking about that while I was stalking you in this cat and mouse game of ours iamded, where are the pictures? KimT Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I am soo getting a zillion trolls and dwarves. Then I'll sound the alarm and kick some skeleton buns X-D KimT Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Lol, kimt is right. If Lego makes a Troll/goblin/army builder like the crossbow attack :'-) I will definitely spam up my coffers with em'! Especially the trolls, because nothing makes a better Minas Tirith front gate than an army of fully armed and armored attack trolls! I wonder, is the armor removable? But then again, it has to be, because the spikes on his back are Viking horns. Quote

jp-30 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) Bit sad that the prototype mine carts appear to have been replaced with wheel-less hoppers (I was gonna use them and the rails for a Temple of Doom MOC); [ Edited September 26, 2007 by jp-30 Quote

On the second pic the goblin is green with yellow hands (totally wrong !!) whereas on the first pic the goblins are sand green !! It not the firt time Lego does stupid mistakes on the catalog !! I remember that they dut the preliminary Sail Barge and not the real set in |-/ *yoda* Quote
iamded Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 No, I've got the catalogue with the 1st pic. The mining carts still have wheels, if you look closely. I thought they weren't there at first too. The hopper however, I dunno. Maybe they removed it for that pic. I don't see why they would take it away. Quote
