I'm having an annoying issue with the board since the change, or upgrade or whatever.

When I go to the next page, whether in a thread or in the Technic section, whether I click the page number on the bottom, "next" or ">>" for last page, 9 of 10 times it doesn't work and I have to refresh the page to actually get to the next page. This happened as recently as just now, when I went to the last page in this thread.

What's up with this? Is it just me having this issue?

EDIT: this usually occurs both ways, "next/forward" as well as "previous/back", and moving 1 page f/b.

Mostly it works just fine for me if I move several pages, e.g. with the ">>" button, and if I go to the next page by replacing the page number in the URL, I have no problems.

It's just the mentioned methods that gives me issues, almost every time. It rarely works like it's supposed to.

Hi,

Glad you guys like the theme.

About the "hanging" behavior; I think it isn't related to browsing per se. It's just that sometimes the server seems to stall for a moment. I sometimes have the same issue when I'm posting. So I think it depends on a certain activity on the system. We have filed a support ticket for this issue, so I will see what the result is/was and follow up on that. For the moment that's the most prominent bug in the new version of the board.

I think it's a generic error, caused by some action on the server or database. So it appears at random moments. It has indeed been present since the introduction of the new board. I have brought it to the attention of the Admin team again, so hopefully we will be able to fix it.

Thanks anyway

Same here, and it doesn't matter which browser I use (apart from the microsoft ones which I didn't use at all)...it happens all the time, even in the middle of the night...I had encountered this issue on another forum and if I recall well, the admins were forced to move to beefier database servers.

Have you folks noticed that the Technic forum is friendlier and more chatty than the other forums?

I think it is more chatty, though I only venture out to the Star Wars forum occasionally. In terms of it being more friendly it could be from a variety of reasons, maybe more mature builders, or people being more open to creative criticism. I think people in the Technic forum are open to sharing Ideas, so if it's a friendly environment builders will be more open to sharing ideas/designs, to inspire others.

I think it's because of the friendly staff in Technic

More serious; I agree with Tommy. The builders tend to be more mature. Older perhaps. More respect for each other. The Technic forum is a nice place (most of the time)

Thank you for your input, I found that the town forum (the other forum I frequent) is just as populated, but there is less input per views. I guess that Technic builders really do have more fun!

@letsbuild I like that "if it doesn't drive, Make it." :sweet:

Thank you! I'm thinking of changing it to make it's meaning clearer, what do you think?

I just finished building it in mostly black, with green racing stripes - will post some images in a few weeks when I have time.  In many places the bushes can be replaced with other parts, cross-axle connectors or thin-2L beams, as there is space for the extra length to stick back into the chassis - building sections in LDD will help to find alternatives that work.  One of the great aspects of building with Technic is that there is almost always alternative means of achieving the same end results.

There are a few issues:

- #5 and #6 panels

- Bushes in orange are quite hard to find.

- 42003 doesn't exist in orange but could possibly be replaced by bright orange.

- 32291

- 1x2 liftarms (may be able to be replaced by (+O) versions)

I may have missed some, but these should be all of the.

Thank you, very informative. I'm sure I could find a replacement part(s) for the #5 and #6 panels, as JGW said, I could also use different parts for the bushes, and I could replace those 32291 with 6536, or something like that, and, as you said, 1x2 liftarms can be replaced by (+o). Again, thank you, your information was quite useful.

Just gonna chime in, and say I've got the same problem.
