NOTE: I Don't want suggesting Bricklink, ebay, or any other things like that!!!
simonwillems Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I can't say I find this first post very polite. You can at least ask politely if anyone has these pieces and not just put "I need...." >:-(
Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 Uh... Sorry, I don't get your post? I do need these peices, and I'm not stating it impolitely, I'm simply saying I need them.
KimT Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I have most of the needed things in my BL store. But since that isn't an option for You, how'd You expect to get them from anyone? You want to trade? What do You have to trade? Kinda odd to ask for stuff, without offering anything. KimT PS Store is currently closed for the summer
Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 If youd read the post, youd see. I said to list what you want ($$$ Included), and I'll see if I have it. Plus, if your a BZPower member, I'm Toa_Hewkii, so find my TT, and see whats there.
THE-FORCE Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Just Buy sets ;-) . You just go down to your local shop and buy a set!
Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 well maybe I don't want the whole set, I don't have that much money.
Starwars4J Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I'm confused...you can give people money for the figs, but don't want to use BrickLink? Why?
Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 I can give money for the figs, and I can trade. Stuff on bricklink is expenseve, plus you can't trade.
Starwars4J Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Well if someone is gonna ask for money, I doubt they'd ask for anything below the lowest BL price, or ask for something less valuable via the prices on BL, that's usually how it works in trades :-P Good luck with it!
Siegfried Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Try Bricklink. If you have money for postage, you have enough money for Bricklink. Many people, including me, feel that Bricklink is a good indication of value. I doubt that you will have much luck getting a better deal elsewhere.
Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 For one thing, I don't like bricklink, its unreliable, I tryed itonce, and got ripped off, so I'm not using it again.
Siegfried Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 (edited) For one thing, I don't like bricklink, its unreliable, I tryed itonce, and got ripped off, so I'm not using it again. I've had my fair share of Bricklink issues, but it is too valuable resouce to ignore. Besides, Bricklink didn't rip you off, a Bricklink user ripped you off. These things happen. I sell stuff over the internet and I have been ripped off before. Accept it and move on. Why would dealing with someone you don't know via Eurobricks make any difference? At least on Bricklink there is a feedback system to help you decide if someone is trustworthy. Edited June 28, 2007 by Sinner
vahkimetru Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 It's really not such a nice idea, but you can always go on Lego Direct and tell them you lost the parts. Then it's free. :-P BL is not unreliable as a whole. It'd made up of loads of stores, so maybe one store is unreliable.
Starwars4J Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 If Bricklink was so unreliable, I doubt it would be the premier brick marketplace for AFOLs :-D Make sure, like with everything else, that before you go to buy something from someone, you check their feedback! Also try to contact the people you're dealing with, many times it's just a simple mistake! For instance in a recent order two pieces were missing. I contacted the guy, and he shipped out the parts right away with a sincere apology. And last but not least, remember that paypal and credit cards will generally insure you up to a certain price against fraud like that.
Skateboarder_2_da_max Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 I would like to point out that in my first post, I didn't want bricklink suggested, All i want are the parts
jamtf Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I would like to point out that in my first post, I didn't want bricklink suggested, All i want are the parts No BL, no eBay, only Eurobricks? :-/ Stop wasting time with this pointless question, go to the store, buy the sets with the pieces you need and sell the leftovers or use them for other purposes. :-| Some of the pieces are in $5.00 - $10.00 sets so why bother and making all that fuss about not having enough money? Try saving money from birthdays or better, ask for the sets with the pieces.
