October 19, 201410 yr Nope not seen them before, the price he's charging for the actual models are extortionate
October 19, 201410 yr Indeed, the prices are totally unrealistic, i seriously hope nobody will be tempted to buy those sets. Still that aside, his models do have some merits. I like what he has done with the hull section of the tank. He also managed to incorporate quite a few functions in a relatively small build.
October 19, 201410 yr The model are insanely priced. On the other hand the instructions are just five bucks. The truck looks nice, but no the scale I work with.
October 19, 201410 yr That abrams looks quite ok. Simple and clean, but still good looking. If you don't want to invest in normal bricks this is a good way to build a tank. I like it.
October 19, 201410 yr Those prices are ridiculous, do love the way hes packaged the bricks in the models for sale though. I'd pay a bit extra for the bricks to come in storage boxes like that.
October 20, 201410 yr The model may be quite expensive, the standalone instructions have a very good price
October 20, 201410 yr Models look nice! Has anybody experience building these? Couldn't stand the temptation. Just bought the instructions for the tank for 5 dollars. I have 5 L motors lying around for the Grove that I can use in this build. Will let you know how it works out! Edited October 20, 201410 yr by Theo van Vroenhoven
October 20, 201410 yr I bought the instructions over Ebay for $5 but you can save $2 if you buy them directly on his website: http://www.lforces.com/Abrams.html
October 20, 201410 yr Oh, I didn't knew he has a site. I took a look at those instructions samples and the instructions look like a very, very high quality. Amazing work
October 20, 201410 yr I already received the instructions. They are clear to follow but not as good as 'real' LEGO instructions. Wiring (not unimportant with 5 motors) is not included. This could become a challenge (at least for me...).
October 20, 201410 yr I bought the instructions for the tank and the quality is indeed very good, but there are a few glitches. If someone could make a parts list of all the models and add them to Rebrickable... EDIT: I hope LForces doesn't mind if I post the parts list from the instructions here. Here you can view the parts list

October 20, 201410 yr This is very ambitious, but I think the prices for the complete sets are ridiculous.

Makes it even more clear that the prices for the complete sets are hugely inflated. I wonder if people still buy these sets anyway. He could make a nice profit. Since these are paid MOCs, the author has to submit the models himself Drop him an email I'd say. Edited October 20, 201410 yr by jantjeuh
October 20, 201410 yr I agree, the prices of complete sets are ... just a little too high ... but only a little , especially compared to the cost of only the instructions. It would have to figure out how much it would cost buying all the parts from Bricklink, but I don't think the price can be so high.

Tonight I will compile a BrickStore partlist and calculate the current BL prizes. My guess is that it will be around $400

October 20, 201410 yr The prices seem to be way too high, the models look alright. The colors and shaping could be improved with the use of studded parts and The colors are kind of random on the hull and turret.
October 20, 201410 yr OK I just finished the hard work ;-) Entered all the parts in BrickStock, using 42009 as a start. The total part count is 1270 with an average BL value of $401 (New) My guess was not that bad! ;-) The most expensive parts of course are the Power Function components. If you own those already the rest of the parts will cost you 'only' $189 The BrickStock file can be found here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28179105/LForces%20M1%20Abrams%20Tank.bsx
October 20, 201410 yr Thanks! Though maybe a bit futile, as I've been in contact with LForces and he will be adding his models to Rebrickable tonight
