MiloNelsiano Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 "If you have ever seen a dragon in a pinch, you will realize that this was only poetical exaggeration applied to any hobbit, even to Old Took's great-grand-uncle Bullroarer, who was so huge (for a hobbit) that he could ride a horse. He charged the ranks of the goblins of Mount Gram in the Battle of the Green Fields, and knocked their king Golfimbul's head clean off with a wooden club. It sailed a hundred yards through the air and went down a rabbit-hole, and in this way the battle was won and the game of Golf invented at the same moment." -The Hobbit Untitled Untitled Untitled I decided to post this as-is for now, as I'm now second-guessing whether it fits the category or not (it is a scene depicted straight out of Bilbo's book, but Bilbo is not in it). Realizing that I can edit the post and pictures before the deadline is up, I decided to go ahead and post it, despite having several place-holders that will be replaced when the new Hobbit sets come out at my local store. Any and all feedback is much appreciated and desired. Also, if someone can definitely clarify if this fits the category or not, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Quote
MKJoshA Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I love this adaptation of Tolkien's work! Your minifig posing is perfect and that club the goblin has is ingenious! Quote
Tomsche Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Hehehe, I just read that passage this morning on the bus as I`ve started re-reading the Hobbit just today Great looking scene Quote
MontyPython Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I always liked this part and I was preparing something simillar but now I think I'll have to build something else. Nice work! Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted October 25, 2014 Author Posted October 25, 2014 Thanks guys. I thought this would be a fairly unique scene, and it was always one I enjoyed in the book. The build itself turned out rather plain, and it doesn't look like I'll be able to replace any of my placeholders but I enjoyed building it nonetheless. Quote
Ashnflash Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Love that part in the book! NICE BUILD! Quote
