"Typical of a nord to go straight to the killin'." Rollinger states, rather disgusted by Eric's suggestion, "Oh, I know where you hail from, raider, it's not that hard to tell. We're not killin' anyone unless they provoke us. Heckz, you may be the leader of this party, but I am still a representative of Ennoc, and there won't be none of that while I'm here. If we're in agreement to let the rider by, let's keep moving." Rollinger coughs coarsely afterwards as the party decides to move on and avoid the rider behind them. As they continue to walk they hear the horse's hooves continue to trail a little ways behind them, getting closer and closer.

Eric chortled. "What gave it away, Paladin? Was it the blue eyes, blond hair, pale skin? The accent? Or was it just the way I don't willingly agree with your nonsense?"

The Nord shook his head in disagreement with Rollinger's statement and rolled his eyes. "Being the one to do the killing first is a rule of thumb to make sure you don't end up being killed by the other party yourself. Then again, I wouldn't suspect someone believing in a bird-god to understand. I'm sure Ennoc will tan his enemies to death, dealing justice with the power of the sun's warmth and light."

Eric bellowed loudly at his own joke, mostly ignoring the ghastly horse and the tense situation it had brought down upon the party.

"Do not bar me of my path," a female voice rings out, lofty and detached, "They call to me... they want me to return them..."

The Nord's face turned more stark again as he looked upon the horse and its rider, but the fog was too thick and he couldn't make out much. He rubbed his eyes, but it didn't really make any difference.

"We collect traveling fees on this road. If you want to pass, you'll have to pay the fee. What's the nature of your business here? Who's calling you?", Eric stated in a cold and serious tone, yet he was slightly grinning, like a child playing a prank on his parents.

"Eric, I really don't give a crap at the moment. I don't personally want to meet my god at this point in time, and I really don't think you want to meet yours. If you want to bicker like a child, do it later and focus on what's behind us!"

"You will not bar my way, liar." The voice replies, letting something unfurl to the ground, clacking together before she reels it above her head and unleashes it at the party! A charred, skeletal whip bursts through the fog, nearly colliding with Eric's eyes! The horse moves through the fog to reveal the rider.

Riding atop the steed sits a woman, her clothes worn and slightly tattered. Her hair is tied back into a ponytail, the tone of her flesh looking slightly pasty, like that of mouldy bread. Her head, however, is not connected to it's body. Instead, the rider clutches it in her arm, it's eyes shut and quite cadaverous looking. The voice seemingly comes from some other place on the person.

Throlar attacked the Trained Night Mare from the Front Row with his Mopagsaber, the sword in question glowing a bright blue and emitting an audible hum as he did so.

QM Note: I came down with some bug last night, and although I feel a lot better than I did last night I still feel off. So if your wondering why the update is so late, this is why. Sorry! :blush:

As the Dullahan charges the party, the heroes manage to strike both the rider and it's steed! Rollinger slashes at the rider, while Heckz trips the horse up with a chilly ice spell! Eric attempts to snag something of value off the Dullahan, but to no avail, while Throlar readies himself for when the rider returns. Before leaving into the mist, the Dullahan strikes Rollinger with it's whip! The party can hear it coming back down the path, ready for another strife! The battle continues!

Throlar removes Crow Helmet and equips Counterstrike Gloves

Rollinger vs. Dullahan- Special Damage (Lash: Blinded!)

Eric vs. Dullahan- Hit (22+25+2=49 damage)

Heckz casts Ice at Night Mare- Failure! (Roll of five, then six. -2 ether)

Dullahan vs. Throlar- (0 damage due to sentinel)

Throlar vs. Dullahan- (12 damage)

The Dullahan strifes the party again, Throlar blocking the Dullahan's attack after reapplying his Counterstrike Gloves. Taking a jab at the rider, his blade does minimal damage, the sword's elemental properties not affecting the Dullahan. Eric learns this as well, as his strike does nothing to the woman, who merely laughs as she lashes out at Rollinger, blinding him! Heckz's spell fails as the horse gallops into the mist, the sound of galloping hooves eventually drawing near again!

Eric vs. Dullahan- Hit (0 Damage due to elemental weapon!)

So my sword doesn't do regular damage (22WP) neither? Ethereal always confuses me. I always forget how those enemies work. :wacko:

Seeing his weapon doesn't seem to affect the Dullahan, Eric switches back to Conspirator and attacks the Dullahan from the front row.

OoC: I think Eric should have dealt normal damage, due to Dullahan being Humanoid too and Godricsleaf having darkness elemental.

QM Note: As clarification goes, Khorne, Godriclsief would only deal normal damage, you won't be getting any modifiers if you use it. Throlar however does get the 12 damage. :tongue: My mistake. Let us continue. :devil:

Things go from bad to worse as the Dullahan charges Eric, striking him twice with her whip. Rollinger manages to heal himself while Throlar strikes the sinister steed for minimal damage. Perhaps switching to his icy spear may have dealt more damage? Heckz fails at casting another spell as he dodges a charge by the horse, the rider now sticking around the party, circling them.

I don't see what you're getting at. Rollinger took the free hit in the first round, causing 8 points of damage. He did not take damage the second round. Is there something I'm not seeing? :wacko:

He shook his head as the dwarf went down. "The stunty was the only one with a Phoenix Essence, I take it?"

Erics uncorks one of his Grand Potions and drinks it.

You forgot to add the Confused-effect to the horse's stats, I believe.
