Reekardoo Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Hello! Presenting to you my newest MOC and project in ideas.lego The legend of ZORRO The set is basically the governor's mansion and Zorro is about to break in :) I hope I can count on your help with feed back and support regardless of this being possibly being a big and pricey set. Please support if you like it - ideas.lego - might think they have business case.Either way your opinion and feed back is always good Anyway i leave the link for your consideration - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/83319 Now for the set photos and all the details: P.S. all roof come easily off for increased playability and to check the inside and all the detaisl. When closed it also works as a phenomenal display (So I think :P ) Quote
Zerobricks Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 The build and the details looks very good. You got my support. Quote
vitreolum Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Excellent build but that chandelier is a real beauty. Quote
Herky Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 oh wow, that is amazing, I have always liked Zorro, you captured it, that is spectacular if you ask me, great job and standing ovation, this is one of those where if they made this I would be first in line to buy Quote
TheLegoDr Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Very well done. The build seems interesting with some good part usage and colors. I have never seen Zorro in any depiction, so this is all new to me. However, I still struggle with people posting these large builds on IDEAS considering I don't see it as a feasible option to release something large and detailed. They are going to want to not limit themselves in selling them on their small batches. Look at how well the cheaper sets have sold so far.. Either way, best of luck. This next review period should tell us a lot about larger build success. Quote
Venkefedo Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I feel it must be pointed out that you made one critical error: your rearing Zorro-on-horseback is on a white horse! Tornado's black! Quote
Reekardoo Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 I feel it must be pointed out that you made one critical error: your rearing Zorro-on-horseback is on a white horse! Tornado's black! Who said that was tornado? LOL. You're right eheheh, Tornado is black. As you might have noticed the minifig and horse are from real photo while the model set is digital. I couldn't find in my collection one of those new black horses from the lone ranger and the ones from LOTR don't go well because of the head armor... So i went with what I had :) And Zorro rode a lot of horses being tornado the iconinc one though You're the first one to see it :) Congrats ;) Quote
Reekardoo Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 Should I find a black horse, I'll add an update. Cheers Quote
Reekardoo Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Very well done. The build seems interesting with some good part usage and colors. They are going to want to not limit themselves in selling them on their small batches. Look at how well the cheaper sets have sold so far.. Either way, best of luck. This next review period should tell us a lot about larger build success. I always look at ideas from a perspective of "if I like it I'll support it." The fact that It might be expensive is something for LEGO to consider at a later point. First thing 10000 supporters are needed. We shouldn't start thinking at the end of the line before reaching first stage. Of couse they ask what price you think it's worth and how many one would buy. But that's for stats and market analysis posteriorly. If I like I'll support, and state how much I'd be willing to give :) If LEGO than thinks it's not enough to produce the product and maintain the appeal then it'll be rejected. But if one does not support saying it will not pass, you're denying the chance of analysing the product's business case. However slim that chance is. Thanks for commenting. Cheers. Quote
