Flipz Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) QM Note: Sorry for the (very!) late update! I'll autoroll a round to compensate, since nothing major really changed. Also, Stunned re-fixed. I've also fixed the Alchemists' health (silly QM, poion-immune enemies don't take poison damage! ), and added an indicator to the Golem Berserker to indicate whom she strikes against; speaking of which, because I forgot to account for Huxley's Hastening in Round 1, she's actually fixated on Hybros, not Ellaria as previously noted. Round 3 of Key Combat: Hybros (Darkness) vs. Golem Alchemist B - Damage (Hybros: no effect, Golem Alchemist B Asleep) Hybros (Darkness) vs. Golem Alchemist B - Special Damage (Golem Alchemist B: no effect, Asleep) Thormanil Nihai (Gladiator Trident) vs. Golem Black Knight - Damage High Assault (Thormanil: avoiding all damage) Bartholomew Docken (Darksteel Crossbow) vs. Golem Black Knight - Special Damage SHIELD (Aura - Docken: Aura) Ellaria Arbour (Ignis Fatuus) vs. Golem Junior Skirmisher C - Damage Special Damage (Ellaria Docken: no damage, Stunned removed) Ellaria Arbour (Ignis Fatuus) vs. Golem Junior Skirmisher C - Critical Hit Special Damage (Golem Junior Skirmisher C: 12*2=24+30=54*2=108-20=88 damage + Poisoned 25) Golem Lieutenant Huxley + Golem Berserker vs. Hybros Bartholomew Docken: no damage, Asleep Golem Lieutenant Huxley vs. Thormanil Nihai Bartholomew Docken Bartholomew Docken: no damage, Asleep Golem Alchemist C vs. Bartholomew Docken: no damage, Asleep Golem Lieutenant Huxley: -2 (Poison) Left Rear Counter: -1 (Poison) Golem Black Knight: -1 (Poison) Right Rear Counter: -1 (Poison) Golem Berserker: -1 (Poison) Left Front Counter: -1 (Poison) Golem Junior Skirmisher C: -76 (Poison) Right Front Counter: -1 (Poison) The Monk kept missing, while the Dragoon prepared to deliver a fatal blow to the Black Knight. JimBee Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 OOC: I'm not quite sure why the Berserker would be focused on Hybros; it never had the chance to attack. And I hate to say it, but the Black Knight was immune to darkness. Can we just say that Thormanil used a different weapon? "We must leave the leader for now while he is stunned. Docken will be able to take the hit once it is in fighting condition. Docken, take Alchemist B now, it is very weak. I will make quick work of the final Alchemist, heheh. Ellaria, Thormanil, perhaps you two can dispose of the Berserker before we have to deal with the defenses of the Lieutenant." Hybros attacks Alchemist C from the front row with darkness. If it is defeated, he will direct other attacks to the Berserker. Quote
Flipz Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 QM Note: Free Hits; as I've seen it played, a Berserker gets locked into their target from the moment they target it, even if something (i.e. an AoE Sleep or Stun effect) interrupts the attack. Whoops. In fairness, I should have noted it back in Round 2, so I'll assume Round 3 as the start of Thormanil switching weapons (since Round 2 was clearly player error). Quote
Flipz Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 QM Note: Fixes made. Black Knight is still alive (but Bleeding and Blinded for another Round), and Docken has a double Aura (which I don't think we've seen since Quest 37 ). Quote
Sandy Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 QM Note: Docken has a double Aura (which I don't think we've seen since Quest 37 ). OoC: But Aura cannot be duplicated. Effects and statuses-that-are-similar-to-effects-but-are-not-actual-effects do not stack unless explicitly said so. Aura only lasts for one round, anyway, so rolling it again only renews it. Ellaria switches both of her attacks to Golem Berserker. The Battle Order remains the same. Quote
swils Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I.. wow. I'm really sorry, folks. Okay so, Berserker or Black Knight? Quote
JimBee Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 After seeing the Black Knight recover, Hybros revises his strategy. "Thormanil, the Berserker if you will, eheh. Docken, a quick defeat of the Alchemist would be good, and further submission of the Black Knight after." Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 OoC: Am I correct in assuming that Alchemist B's HP is 26/220, not 220/220? I attack Golem Alchemist B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. Quote
swils Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Thormanil attacks the Berserker from the front row with Shishkebab. unless I've somehow buggered that and missed an immunity. I think I'm alright this time, though. Quote
Flipz Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 OoC: Am I correct in assuming that Alchemist B's HP is 26/220, not 220/220? QM Note: You are correct. Can't front on the Empire, to all you Vader-haters out there, we'll blow your planet up. Must have had the wrong edit window open when fixing the poison damage. Will roll soon. Quote

JimBee Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 OOC: I'm a little confused with all of the effects flying around - why is the Berserker Blind and Encouraged? The special doesn't say anything about increasing attack power. And Docken rolled Damage against Alchemist B, so the enemy party shouldn't be blessed. "Hm... we will have to leave the Alchemists be for now. The most damage they can do is to use their potions, so perhaps it is best to not target them, eheh... Docken, you will have to Blind the Black Knight again as well as take a hit from the Lieutenant. Ellaria, the more you can poison the Lieutenant, the better. Thormanil, we will take the Beserker together." Hybros attacks the Berserker twice from the front row with darkness. Quote
Flipz Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 QM Note: The Alchemists use Instant Items on rolls of Damage and Free Hits. The Berserker being Blind is an oversight from my earlier mistake (will fix momentarily), the Encouragement comes from Golem Huxley's Assistance trait (which is no longer aiding the Bla shouldn't be there, Assistance is useless now you've killed someone on each Row. (Good catch, and clever play! ) Quote

JimBee Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 OOC: Okay got it, thanks Flipz. Hybros nods to Thormanil. "I will join you with the Beserker in a moment. These Alchemists will surely brew up something nasty, eheh..." Hybros changes his targets to Alchemists B and C from the front row, with darkness. Quote
