As of right now the modular pet shop is out of stock on lego.com, walmart, toysrus and more. Do you think it's life has come to an end and it will be retiring soon?

Not as likely as GE or TH, both of which have been heavily rumored to be retiring for months, with nary a peep about PS.

The GE and TH are both sold out which more a less means they are retired.

Sold out seems to mean retired. Backorder seems to go either way. Exo suit was backordered, and two months later they told me they weren't going to make any more. So take that as you will.

One would imagine pet shop to not last much longer though. Didn't it comes out in 2011? That's pushing it by most exclusives standards.

The Creator Family House was "sold out" for a month and is now (was a few days ago) back. Why is it everytime something is "sold out", the talk is retirement? Then the talk goes on for months as people have to dicuss it to death about "is it or is it not" gone forever. Sold out? Big deal. Why does it have to get talked about so much? If you wanted the set, most often then not, you have had a year or two to have bought it. If it's because you are a reseller who checks the Lego site everyday to see if something is "sold out" so you can make some money, then I hope the bubble bursts and you lose your house with your stockpiles of sets.
