Ras 74 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 why is it that Hinckley gets little packages in the mail all the time filled with rare Lego pieces? Maybe I should have someone send ME stuff every day of the year. It'd be like Christmas every day. Gosh, he sure is lucky to have someone send him such things. Hmmm...how do I lay my hands on a set of friends like that? Oh right, my credit card can get me lots of similar friends I'm sure. Oh...er, :-$ That's called Bricklink and it is your credit card. X-D Cool! I want to go too. I'll have to save up.Gee... I wanted to combine the two first quotes with something else...Hinckley, I don Quote

DoubleT Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Stay Tuned on EB, the event date is being planned... Quote
Corvus Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 (edited) It appears the EB event may get it's first American. Europe is tentatively on the calendar for May! X-D X-D X-D Maybe (hopefully) two... I'd love to go, and meet EB members in person, but I have two obstacles. 1) I live in Oregon. Long trip. My parents might not be willing to spend X amount of cash so I can meet a bunch of geeks ( :-P ;-) ) and talk about lego. 2) I'm fifteen. If I traveled by myself, it'd cost less, but my parents probably won't let me go alone, as they don't know any of you and they have no idea if you are responsable and trustworthy. So, long shot, but I'm hoping. What happens in an EB event, anyway? Edited August 31, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote

UniqueBuilder Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Or maybe we just won't pack the shovels... :-/ Hmm, I don't know.. Just look at what I found on Google: In a maniac's eyes, everything can turn into a deadly implement of whacking. Underwear, suitcases, beer glasses, yes, even legos can put a walrus down. Relaxing pills is recommended. :-/ Quote

Corvus Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Would it be all right if the event was scheduled during spring break in March? That's the only way I'll be able to go. :-$ Quote
Morten Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 The LEGOLand park in Billund opens for the 2008 season the first of april, so it will not be in march, thats for sure. On top of that, the weather sucks in march and april in Denmark, so I think it will be in the beginning of may. Morten Quote
