Sir Dillon Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Oh I did, and several times :-D But it still doesn't answer that existencial question Oh, right... I shall now attempt at answering your question. *clears throat* How on Earth did we go from a Lego ice cube tray to fornicating words from Aussie country ?? laugh_new.gif Its a nice shift though but quite a leap from both !! I believe it started when someone mentioned root beer, and Izzy stated that 'root' meant to fornicate in Australia. A bit later, when Hinckley was trying to replace the work 'whack' with something a little more clean sounding, he mentioned 'bonk', which also means to fornicate in Australia... it kind of goes on from there... :-P (That may be wrong, BTW, because I didn't bother to reread the thread, and just went by what I can remember...) oo7 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Here's what I remember: Tau was inspired by Iz posting the the muffin tray and decided to make a bad muffin joke. Izzy responed with Anger and Hinkie made a MOC depicting Izzy's anger in which she whacks Maul, or in this case, Tau. From there it went into whacking people and fornicating a Australia. I believe the Root beer was a different thread entirely. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I believe the Root beer was a different thread entirely. Nope, I'm pretty sure that was in this thread too. X-D Someone (Norrington?) said that he likes to put root beer in his ice tray. Quote

Thanks for the summary Sir Dillon! :-D :-D :-D Just to clarify, I thought that "whack-a-hinckley" was too dirty not just the word "whack" alone. This all lead to one of the funniest posts I've ever seen where Sir Dillon goes on about not being able to whack my head. However, 007 is right, the hilarity really ensued when captain tau made his infamous muffin comment. Don't rely on our summaries, folks. You must experience this for yourself. If you really don't have the time, start on page four right around where Sinner is trying to entice Norrington to Australia with muffins. You can stop on page 8 where Sinner complains about being sent to bed at 5 pm. It's quite a fun trip! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D EDIT: And believe it or not the root beer was in this thread. Quote
Darth_Legois Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 COKE??? I'd rather drink paint thinner. It does the same thing you your insides. :-P Dr Pepper is pretty good though *y* ... once you get used to it. Its an acquired taste. Like scotch. *shudders* Coke is ok but i think Pepsi or better Ginger Ale i have 3 bottles of ginger ale in the fridge i just finished one last night *wub* also the only coke i like is vanilla coke *wub* also this is one crazy thread! *wacko* X-D Quote

You must be mad.. vanilla coke is crap, even with lego-shaped ice cubes :-P (and yes, I know people are entitled to their own opinion.. but seriously, vanilla coke is way beyond that :-D ) Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Never tried vanilla Coke, but lime Coke is awesome. FTW! I used to use molds and stuff to make chocolates. If I got one of these with my next order I'd be quite happy and would make lots of LEGO chocolates! Something else I used to do...remember the chocolate advent calendars you get? Well, once they're done, rip them apart and take out the plastic insert. Instant mold to make Christmas chocolates! Quote

Berry Syedow Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Hinckley, one word comes to mind: "chill" ;-) You should be thankful that TLC even included an option to not receive the free item. :-P I agree that TLC should refrain from producing frivolous junk that's exclusive to their site and store, and if they must then they should sell the junk at a much cheaper rate than they are right now. (Over $100 for a single storage container is beyond ridiculous.) Wasn't the whole reason that they went bankrupt due to this very thing?! They're losing their focus again... But if an item with a useful application is free of charge, I'll surely not complain. (And, hey, we don't have an ice-cube tray where I live, so with my latest order I was more than happy to accept the free 'cube tray.) Quote
Siegfried Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Wasn't the whole reason that they went bankrupt due to this very thing?! They're losing their focus again... Not at all. Last time they made the products, such as the software, in house. The new furniture is being made by another company, and Lego is just taking the profits. Very low risk for Lego. Quote

The new furniture is being made by another company, and Lego is just taking the profits. Very low risk for Lego. I suppose that's a good idea. They would still need to pay the company to make them though, wouldn't they? Quote

Norrington Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Here is a qoute from Futurama that related to this situation. "You too, stop fighting or I'll have you both neutered!"- Prof. Farnsworth Quote
Hinckley Posted July 8, 2007 Author Posted July 8, 2007 Here is a qoute from Futurama that related to this situation."You too, stop fighting or I'll have you both neutered!"- Prof. Farnsworth Oh, Norrington. :-| Berry and i are not fighting. Don't you see all the winkies? No need to neuter anybody...poddy mouth. :-P Quote
Izzy Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Hey! I thought you were on my side? Shouldn't Aussies stick together? Oooh Sinner! I was just being sarcastic. I'll stick with you. *points at Sinner and whispers "It was him, it was him!"* :-P Quote
Norrington Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 No need to neuter anybody...poddy mouth. :-P Me? A "poddy mouth"? Hardly. *sad* Quote
Berry Syedow Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Berry, two words come to mind: you chill. ;-) ;-) Sorry, but with the sort of expression my avatar has to keep up I cannot chill. *Looks at Hinckley real squinty like* (No winkies means serious business.) Quote
