GallardoLU Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I love that they gave Howard a belt buckle I wonder if it includes some "splash-back" :P Quote
Cagast Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 They all look like citizens from City. The characters on the show look like regular people one would see in a city, after all. In fact, most of the torso prints could easily be reused in City sets, albeit with yellow hands instead of fleshtones. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it happen eventually, actually. What I meant was, she lacks personality. When you look at others, you can see they were made after looks of some fictional characters, even if you don't watch the show. Quote
ARSLOCK Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 And two more characters to be revealed tomorrow. They have to be Bernadette and Amy. totally agree! have they said the price point? i'm betting $50 for 7 minifigures, hopefully not higher, but my GF really wants this.. Quote
K-Nut Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) As a fan of the show, I've got to say these look great. Cap beat me to the punch with the Flash Museum idea, though. Edited June 2, 2015 by K-Nut Quote
Freekysch Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Wooooot, so excited to see this. Can not wait to see the whole set Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 WALL*E will be the next set after this one, so I'd expect pictures for him a few days, weeks or months after we get final pics for this set. Quote
Rinzler Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I know for sure I'll be spending big bucks to get a bunch of those Flash torsos, as they'll work perfectly for the gift shop of my Lego Flash Museum--whenever I get around to building it. Not a bad idea there *twirls handlebar moustache* hehehehe Quote
Deathleech Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) Um, Lennard needs another hair. the typical modern male hair would work alot better. I totally agree. I also think Sheldon and Howard's hair look off. I think they should have used Leonard's hair on Sheldon, and maybe this hair on Howard? It's not perfect, but the hair they used doesn't look quite right... Also Penny really should have had some cheek detailing on her face: Edited June 2, 2015 by Deathleech Quote
DJ Bricks Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) What is the blue micro figure Leonard is holding supposed to be? Edited June 3, 2015 by DJ Bricks Quote
gedren_y Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm going to be buying this, but these images still seem to be too unfinished. Raj's dog is a yorkie, and though the chihuahua mold might work, without the printing it looks wrong. I'm also betting the statue in Leonard's hand will be printed. What the print might be of will probably become something of a debate until pictures of the actual part surface. I may have to buy two, as I want the figs whole and parts for other figs. Quote
deskp Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 What is the blue micro figure Leonard is holding supposed to be? 3d printed figure proapbly. Dont think it will be printed. these figs all seem finished. Quote
Deathleech Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm going to be buying this, but these images still seem to be too unfinished. They are supposed to be releasing the image of the entire set tomorrow as well as the remaining two characters (no doubt Amy and Bernadette). I think these are the finished figs we are getting... Also, according to Brickset the set is supposed to retail for £49.99/$59.99 and be released in August. Quote
KristofBD Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Well, I'm happy with these. Love Sheldon and Raj, Howard is probably the most difficult to recognize and Penny, well LEGO has a difficult time making recognizable female figs. But all in all, I am quite pleased and cannot wait for the complete set to be revealed! Quote
KCMatze Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I think all the hairpieces work just fine, you might be right about Leonards, though. Funny how they use the hairpiece all the time, but not on a figure where it actually works really well! Penny's design is pretty simple - maybe not too recognizable as some stated already. Looking forward to see the whole set - as I surely will have to get my hands on that Quote
DJ Bricks Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 3d printed figure proapbly. Dont think it will be printed. these figs all seem finished. Leonard didn't get one though, Penny didn't let him. Only Raj and Howard did. Quote
deskp Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Leonard didn't get one though, Penny didn't let him. Only Raj and Howard did. I dont mean the action figures they ordered, I mean one they would have print themselves. Quote
kevkipo Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Oh. My. God. That is fan-flipping tastic!!!! FULL SET REVEAL TODAY!! let me just... lemme just take a few... EDIT: And for 60 bucks... Wow with 7 figs included? that's not much y'know Edited June 3, 2015 by kevkipo Quote
neithan Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Penny is desperatley lacking personality. In the show or as a fminifigure? I would say: both. This set comes way too late for me as I am not a fan anymore. But still, if the other two figs are well done and the set works fine as a diorama, I may consider buying it. Quote
Jern92 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm going to give Penny a wineglass and a bottle of wine to hold. Then she'll be easily recognizable Quote
Borex Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Looking supergood. Might be buying this even if i didnt gave it my vote. Now give us The Cosby Show! Lol Quote
SMC Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Looking supergood. Might be buying this even if i didnt gave it my vote. Now give us The Cosby Show! Lol That might be a little less likely now. Quote
Chookdude Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Looking supergood. Might be buying this even if i didnt gave it my vote. Now give us The Cosby Show! Lol Well that not gonna happen. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm going to give Penny a wineglass and a bottle of wine to hold. Then she'll be easily recognizable Haha maybe easiest solution. No cheekbones for Penny and Sheldon. That's weird in a time where a Luke Skywalker fig has enough for two. This way the Sheldon fig doesn't match the sexy praying mantis look we all want to see. But I will buy it without any doubt. Even if it's just for the pure existence of this set. It still feels so unlikely. If ever one will ask if Lego isn't for kids, I will just say "ask them" and point at this set on my shelf. Quote
jonwil Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I am liking what I see so far. The torsos on Howard, Raj and Leonard look generic enough to be useful. Howards legs are great too (with the printed belt). The hair on Howard, Raj and Penny is nice, as does the blue statue and green lantern battery . As for the comments about the hair on Leonard, the hair deskp suggested is very easy to get in that color so its easy to switch it over if you want :) Can't wait to see the whole set. Quote
