Schneeds Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I like the improvements. How sturdy is it looking? Quote
La Chupacabra Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I'm bricklinking new parts and soon we will see ;) Edited January 6, 2016 by La Chupacabra Quote
dmaclego Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Looking very nice. However: 1) In my book, the hip joint is slightly bigger than knee joint, which means that thigh should be ever-so-slightly tapered. 2) Hard to tell if the ankle arch will be sturdy enough; I can't even see grooves between bricks in your render :) . The same goes to the round part of the foot - difficult to see what you did there. Quote
Calanon Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I'm bricklinking new parts and soon we will see ;) Any potential updates on this? It's been months! I'm honestly really looking forward to seeing this complete. I also may have an idea in mind for something in the future for you... Quote
La Chupacabra Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 (edited) I didn't saw your post. Im working on new head interior. I have some improvements and details in my mind. Especially for legs because they are very fragile. Edited August 13, 2016 by La Chupacabra Quote
Calanon Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Looks good - the commander's communicator/controls definitely looks much better. Quote
La Chupacabra Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 (edited) Thanks. What do you have for me ? ;) Edited August 13, 2016 by La Chupacabra Quote

BrickShady Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Nice update! Can't wait to see it in real bricks Quote
La Chupacabra Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 I have almost all parts to rebuild interior. DBG slops and inverted curved slopes are missing Quote
LaPasnaille Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Those ones are pretty hard to find, aren't they? Quote
La Chupacabra Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) No, quite the opposite. http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=85984pb077&C=85#T=S&C=85&O={"color":85} http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=85984pb127&C=85#T=S&C=85&O={"color":85} Edited August 14, 2016 by La Chupacabra Quote
La Chupacabra Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) Side armor modifications: Edited September 10, 2016 by La Chupacabra Quote
dmaclego Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Very nice. Two questions though: 1) The wall is thicker now. Isn't it going to cause problems with fitting the rear wall and, even more so, the roof? 2) Aren't you going to inset the DBG tiles somewhat deeper in the wall? They seem too thick, too obvious at the moment. Quote
La Chupacabra Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 As usually dmac with hard questions 1. Wall isn't that thick. I have done some interior modifications and rear wall fits perfect. Even I should leghten whole back section. Roof will be constructed using your idea 2. I'm thinking about it Maybe you could allow me again to use your concept. Quote
dmaclego Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 allow me again to use your concept. Well, I'm not really sure the concept is mine (or maybe I saw it somewhere and copied subconsciously) but it's nice of you to ask. So sure, just go ahead and use it :) . Quote
jhaelego Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Side armor modifications: *snip* Those mods sure look familiar ;) Quote

TWP Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Looking forward to see this finished! What are all the hatches for? Will they function and have some sort of storage compartiment behind them? Or are they just for accuracy? Quote
La Chupacabra Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 These are escape hatches. And yes they bend but since my model will be display only I changed my mind and they will be fixed. Quote
La Chupacabra Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) New elements - work in progress. This exhaust solution is borrowed from LiLme. P.S I have bought new computer - Rendering on i7 6900k and 32GB is really fassttt... Edited October 18, 2016 by La Chupacabra Quote
