LegoJalex Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) This model was the third place winner in Swebricks LEGO competition "The city we built". Here is (the badly translated) description I had for my model: "Businesses had been bad for Ragge Runarson in the increasingly desolate little town. Because of the current recession, sales had fallen drastically and all of his employees had to quit. It was with mixed feelings that he was standing at the window of the office building and looking out over his lifework. He remembers how he so happily rode to work every morning on his red bicycle. And he remembers the now broken cement mixer which he would use to finish cementing the walkway to the white cottage. Soon, however, there would come a person who was interested in buying the building, so then Ragge could start all over again!" Edited November 9, 2014 by LegoJalex Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Thats an awesome city block! I like the contrast between mantained and starting-to-fall-apart building. Oh and antenna rocks too! Quote
Mr Greeble Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Really nice! Sometimes it can be harder to make a very ramshackle lego building than a very precise, clean one. Quote
Gongoro73 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 This is refreshing. So different from the typical MOC. Love the white building. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Great work! The white building is the star of the scene, but I love the doors on the other buildings too! Quote
Cagast Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Amazing. Every part of it.  Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 AWESOME work 'LegoJalex', I really like the rundown white building and all the little detailing as well.......Brick On 'LegoJalex' ! Quote
eurotrash Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Excellent MOC! I love it - plenty of good details and some interesting textures on the facades. I especially like the ramshackle walls to the white cottage. Quote
deraven Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 That white cottage is so beautifully dilapidated! Just great! Quote
Hobbythom Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Awesome build. So many cool details. Every angle is great to look at! Quote
LegoJalex Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Thanks for your comments! Glad you like it! Quote
CityBuilder Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 The breaking siding on the white building is very cool, the whole thing is well done and looks very run down. Quote
happer Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Great job, all these little details make this MOC alive Quote
Kristel Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 This is fantastic! Love the overall realism created by all the small details. Quote
BricksMcgee Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Brilliant effects, especially on the white building as others have said. And pretty well translated, too :) Quote
