Hi everybody

Is there any chance to get 2xVIP or 3xVIP points before the year ends? I'm aware that the whole october was 2xVIP, but what about that november weekend of 2XVIP or 3xVIP points? Any rumours on this? I'm not sure anymore If I read it somewhere or I just made up.

Last year, on the saturday before good black friday (11/23), it was 3x points. No idea about this year, but they are offering the 2nd holiday free set from only Nov 28 - Dec 1 only. It's possible LEGO may consider the free holiday set for 4 days only to be special enough to replace any VIP promotions. I hope not.

Rumor has it that Lego is really cutting back on the extras. So far, I have only heard about the second holiday set over the Black Friday weekend and nothing about the Saturday before as badbob001 mentioned. Besides the set, the only other bonus right now seems to be the calendar, which you can only get in the Lego Store if you purchase over a certain dollar amount. It has some coupons, but the general consensus is that there are no earth shattering deals on it. The in store Pick-a-Brick holiday boxes have also disappeared. This is not to say that Lego might surprise us with a 2x or 3x VIP day, but I would not bank on it. They might also do what they did last year and offer free shipping for a time regardless of purchase amount. With the guaranteed busy holiday shopping season and the success TLG has enjoyed, they have likely figured out that they will get the business regardless of whether they offer some of these things or not.

I guess you mean Black Friday?

Good Friday is usually in March/April ;-)

I didn't realize that the calendar was in-store only. It doesn't explicitly say that on the monthly calendar but I can confirm that it's not added to my cart when I add more than $75 worth of items. This is depressing.

I think I read somewhere that it says pick up in store only?? It doesn't do people like me any good that don't live anywhere near a store.

As far as the rest of the deals, with the success of the LEGO movie, I see deals less and less. People are just simply buying more LEGO now. TLG doesn't need to work as hard since its brand image is so universal, especially now.

I hope they surprise us though...

Hopefully lego understands that some of these perks of buying from them directly effect their profit margins substantially over time. I mean, I buy direct from lego for the VIP points and occasional discounts because it gives them money directly and is a nice perk. I try to avoid buying from other stores like target or toysrus unless the deal is just too good.

The VIP Shopping invitation was just 2X points, I went and that was it. I did get the calendar at the event. I also got the 2nd Christmas freebie, and I also got another by ordering something online yesterday. It was a one day deal for VIPs, on 22 Nov.
