falconluan Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 That's very creative! And I actually like your version of the bike better :) Thanks and glad you like it. Here is one more detailed pic, and I wish I had a couple of black 32009 though. Quote
Freekysch Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I must admit that the red - black color combination works way better on the bike then the original colors. However, i can not wait to buy the bike. Congrats for all the work put in to replicate those models. Quote

Agreed...red and black looks superb on this model!.....it think it might try and get the parts to build this. Quote

MajklSpajkl Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Some new videos, found on Youtube: https://www.youtube....pholland/videos edit: worth to check the background for some new views of B-models... Cool vids, I hope they release them for 42038 and 42039 soon. No trace of the 2H models in the background unfortunately... Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) The one I've been waiting for the most: It is really fantastic, I love the B model even more! The 42038 is on the top of my to-buy list from 1H2015 sets! Edited December 15, 2014 by MajklSpajkl Quote
Jim Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I agree with you! The B-model is absolutely fantastic. Quote
D3K Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Great to properly see the B-models for the first time! The videos seem a little "forced" upon the presenters though Quote
Ondra Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Based on video lenght I think that 2H flagship will have own movie . Im kidding, I enjoy this kind of video very much. This is something that can promote model very well. Quote

MajklSpajkl Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 The videos seem a little "forced" upon the presenters though Well, Milan and Markus are LEGO Technic designers, not actors, so I think they did a good job, I like both their accents and their little bit of stiffness makes this videos even cooler. I mean, do we really want pumped up hyperenergetic guys like those selling us infrared ovens or out-of-this-world sharp knives??? ;-) Quote

What I meant was exactly that; they don't seem super comfortable Quote
MrTekneex Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Now I'm really in love with the 42038 B-Model!!! Well, Milan and Markus are LEGO Technic designers, not actors, so I think they did a good job, I like both their accents and their little bit of stiffness makes this videos even cooler. AssembleToDissasemble Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Seriously disappointed in the Le Mans racer. I was expecting at least a gearbox and some (semi)-realistic suspension. Instead we got the same cr#p again, just this time around in an ugly green suit. Quote

This .This set really dissapointed me, there are no interesting functions and as you say regular technic functions now seen almost in every bigger set.8070 is interesting model with great functions this is bad parody of 8070 functions. Richard Dower Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Two more new Lego Designer videos: OMG!...pop up lights!......sold!$ That Le Mans B model is amazing!....though it needs an extra 5x11 green panel in the back to fill that huge hole! N-4K0 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Really nice video on the Arctic Truck, I'm getting more and more tempted to buy it I have to say that the 24H Race Car seems boring, but the B-model is kinda cool. Edited December 15, 2014 by Error404 Quote
Saberwing40k Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Seriously disappointed in the Le Mans racer. I was expecting at least a gearbox and some (semi)-realistic suspension. Instead we got the same cr#p again, just this time around in an ugly green suit. I'd be inclined to agree. The redesign compared to the original model is terrible, and it is yet another boring car with an unrealistic drivetrain and a two way splitter, just like 42029. At least 42000 had interesting suspension. Also, in the designer video, Milan and Markus both seem a little bit disinclined to describe the model as good, and it feels as if they didn't like the stuff the marketing team told them to say. nerdsforprez Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I will try to cover at least a couple of the most interesting ones. The B-model of the LeMans car, for instance, looks awesome. Everyone keeps commenting on the awesomeness of the B model for the Lemans. While it is wonderful, the B model for the Arctic truck gets my vote! I just saw your video and it shows a pic on the back of the box. For this reason only I will be, at some point, buying the arctic truck Thank you Jim ... as long as we don't see a remake of last year's ... i.e., having to wait until June ... I wish they released them a bit sooner ... got 2 weeks off during the holidays and could spent some serious lego time with the kids (hence, other thread I started) Nooo.. like he said in his post, in the US we will likely not get them til much later. I would not be surprised to see the US getting the sets until summer 2015 Quote
Erik Leppen Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I agree with the comments on the B model of the arctic truck - it looks as good as the A-model, and the satellite is quite ingenious. I'm not sold on the 42039 B-model to be honest. The headlights are cool, but as a whole the model looks like any other B-model to me. Also indeed, even the main model itself is kind of mediocre. I think it would be better if it were smaller and denser, with the same functions except the ability to motorize it. Still I hope they'll use the bright green in future sets. Because as a parts pack it might be interesting having both green and white. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Put a little video together showing the Driving Rings and Clutch Gears Quote
Lucio Switch Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) Put a little video together showing the Driving Rings and Clutch Gears Thanks!! It seems that the improvements are very useful. Very cool and smart the remote gearbox command, a lot more realistic!! Edited December 19, 2014 by Lucio Switch Quote
