D3K Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Indeed, I really like the gearbox setup in your new chassis Paul Quote
Meatman Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Nice Review of the parts. I really dig that chassis set up. Quote

Richard Dower Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 (edited) Someone put the 42038 chassis on wheels! A speed build of 42031: Edited December 27, 2014 by Richard Dower Quote
Sariel Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Someone put the 42038 chassis on wheels! So did I in my review. It looks cool :) Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Someone put the 42038 chassis on wheels! I think the 42038 B-model is even more suitable for wheelz, has anyone tried that? Quote
Sariel Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 I think the 42038 B-model is even more suitable for wheelz, has anyone tried that? There B-model instructions aren't out yet. Quote
Richard Dower Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Some of the 2015 instruction manuals are now online: 42032 A http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6112177.pdf 42032 B http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6106800.pdf 42033 A http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6106802.pdf 42033+42034 B http://cache.lego.com/r/service/-/media/franchises/customer%20service/technic/42033_42034_digital.pdf?l.r=142595331 42034 A http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6124828.pdf Quote
Richard Dower Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I know they had to use the available parts....but the B model of 42033+42034 is a mess!...colour/parts wise. I like the model but i would have to swap out alot of parts to use the proper colours. Using yellow and white beams mixed with LBG....wtf? I will have to make this a black and LBG model i think...and keep thise rare blue panels for a rainy day and swap them with black. Quote
Richard Dower Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) JANBRICKS has a new review of 42035...i assume he will do the B model as well since he has the instructions for it in the box. He also has 42031 but the review is not up yet Based on this vid....could you not place a second Tan gear on the opposite side?....so that both wheels power the engine block? TechnicBricks have a full series of brand new videos online with speed builds etc. Edited December 29, 2014 by Richard Dower Quote
Jim Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I'm growing very fond of JangBricks' video Reviews. He has a very pleasant voice and he speaks at an easy to follow pace. Quote

N-4K0 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I too enjoy Jangbricks' reviews, he's the born "voice-reviewer" I've watched some of his reviews on sets I'm not even into, like The Hobbit and regular brick sets. Quote
Freekysch Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Same here, I always watch his reviews on a daily basis. Hopefully he will review all the 2015 sets. Quote

Richard Dower Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Another excellent review from JANGBRICKS, this time for 42038...he says he will do all the B models when he gets a chance. I am not a fan of non Technic sets, but after watching all his video reviews of the 2014 City Arctic sets i loved the look of them!....so i think i will collect the Artic sets. Quote
Sariel Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Here's my review of the 42039's B-model: the SUV Racer. I really, really liked it - if only there was more room for other types of wheels! Now, this review is a little experimental - I've changed how my speed builds are filmed. The goal was to focus more on the assembly and less on the pile of bricks around it, to provide a first-person-like view and to improve the image quality. The only downside is that the footage is locked at x30 speed, but it seems like an acceptable trade-off to me. I'll be glad to hear your opinions. Quote
XAxles Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) 42039-B looks like a shortened Ford Flex for Dakar. And I like it. And dat pop-up headlamp function. Eveything becomes good with pop-up headlamps. Edited January 5, 2015 by XAxles Quote
