Richard Dower Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) 42032 has part # 32249 in Dark Bluish Gray!!....only one Technic set has had these parts before, from 2004! Also part #32250 in DBG...hasen't been seen in a Tecnic set since 2010, and only 2 sets overall! If you are building old Technic sets with new parts this is a *must* have! You have brand new parts for Technic 8435, 8052, 8288! Also part # 32009 has not been seen since 2002! http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=32009&colorID=4&in=A Edited November 27, 2014 by Richard Dower Quote
Balrog Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Thanks :) I always appreciate a good voiceover, but I think text makes videos more accessible. Firstly, you don't need sound, secondly more people understand written than spoken English. But that's just me. I like the style of Sariel's reviews a little more. While this review Jangbricks is very good and I enjoyed it, videos without sound and text instead are somewhat more accessible to me. And you made a good point that more people understand written english better than spoken english. That is because many people either speak a very broad dialect or are not native english speakers and thus their accent from their native language makes it hard to understand (no offense, but I think this is a big issue for people from East Europe and everything until Russia, e.g. that Russian Hacker guy on Youtube). SNIPE Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) To me the mechanisms are more important than the design in technic, technic was created ideally for mechanisms though it has moved more into design now, so I like this set personally. Edited November 27, 2014 by SNIPE Quote
5imon Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) I can't wait for it! I'm especially looking forward to the arctic vehicle review. It must be a great source of orange Technic parts. I've already spotted 2 orange 7L liftarms, which is new in this color. I hope there will be other rare or new parts too. Since I don't have any large track links so far this is another reason to buy this set. Edited November 28, 2014 by 5imon Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I am especially excited to have a fresh supply of Black tracks as they have only been in one or two sets, and not seen since 2009 in Technic 8263. miguev Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I'm gonna put the arctic vehicle in my wishlist even before seeing any review, I'm sold! :) Quote

Is that why black ones are so expensive on BL and BO... too bad for those sellers i guess, Does anyone know when they might start appearing on Australian shelves? ill be grabbing the very first 42038 i see. Jim Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Sorry guys, how comes Sariel is not allowed to show his reviews untill 1st dec while on the other hand there are sets on sales at Toysareus and other reviews on youtube anyway??? I'm a bit confused..... :look: :look: The sets you see are already available in stores. The reviews for 1st of December are the Arctic Vehicle and Racer etc. Quote
Meatman Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) Does anyone know if the 42039 is going to be available when the other sets come out or later like the other 1st half large sets have in the past? Edited November 28, 2014 by Meatman Quote
Sariel Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Sorry guys, how comes Sariel is not allowed to show his reviews untill 1st dec while on the other hand there are sets on sales at Toysareus and other reviews on youtube anyway??? I get my sets from Lego and they tell me when it's OK to show them. People who get their sets early from regular shop don't have any agreements with Lego to keep. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I get my sets from Lego and they tell me when it's OK to show them. People who get their sets early from regular shop don't have any agreements with Lego to keep. that was clear, my question was more like: LEGO told you not to show reviews (including the skid steering loader) and at the same time LEGO let toysareus to sell them!!! Ok I understand the focus is more on 42039 and 42038, but still makes no sense to stop someone from showing a review while the set is on sale!!! Anyway....I can't wait for your stunning reviews....I think I like all the aspects of your reviews!! Great job Sariel! Quote
Sariel Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Thank you. I'm still looking for ways to improve. I wish I could get this crystal image quality that Richard gets. Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) JANBRICKS has a review of the quad bike up: Edited November 29, 2014 by Richard Dower Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 ^ FYI...these reviews are NOT MINE!...I am in Ireland and that guy is in the US. I have just been searching for reviews since some of the sets in in the US for sale. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Thank you. I'm still looking for ways to improve. I wish I could get this crystal image quality that Richard gets. Probably you could start a topic asking people what/how they would love to see your reviews! But according to me they look professional, clear and with good observations/comments! Thanks again Sariel! Waiting for the first dec to come now!!! Quote
rollermonkey Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Boy, that dragster looks a lot better than I'd originally thought. Quote

jantjeuh Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Yeah that Record Breaker is going to be the first pullback set I've ever bought It's a good parts pack. Quote
Sariel Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 I have added both Jangbrick's reviews to the first post. Probably you could start a topic asking people what/how they would love to see your reviews! But according to me they look professional, clear and with good observations/comments! Not a bad idea, thanks. I'm still experimenting, e.g. this time I will be including complete parts list in each review, and show what pieces are left as spares once you're done building. Quote
miguev Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 One suggestion: would you expand the "new pieces" section to include pieces that are (a) new from the same year, and (b) abundant? This idea comes from being surprised by finding (7 of) part 15462 in the 42030 set and nowhere in its review, only now I (searched for and) found it in your .Thing is, if you think of people who would get / buy 1 or 2 sets per year, what would be "new pieces" for them? I'd say all those released only the same year. Quote
Sariel Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) I see what you mean. You're right, I usually think in 6-months intervals, if some piece was released in 1H2014 sets, I don't consider it new when found in 2H2014 sets. Good idea, thanks.
