I know 4J said that but I haven't seen it "official" anywhere yet. When you have to use the Search button to clarify a rule, you can assume it's like Captain Barbossa says... "They're more a set of guidelines, than rules."

However we're really more lenient on people who have been here for awhile, and shown that they can be a part of the community without spamming the place up. If you're under the age limit, and have been here for awhile, you're probably fine. If someone however signs up tomorrow and starts their intro topic mentioning they're 10...they might not have as much luck X-D Then again they may be given a chance to show their maturity, it really depends on the day :-P

CaptainTau-As for why the age limit was added I can't say. But I have a pretty good idea-There used to be a lot of younger members members on EB who weren't really fit for this kind of environment (myself included), and some of us matured (possibly me :-P) and some of us went on with our spamming ways. when you have loads of spammers, it becomes quite a load on admins. Surely adults can be just as / moreso inclined to act immature / spam / flame etc The age limit was put in place around a year or so ago, at the time eb had a more mature membership and some posts/topics could of offended younger members. As we didnt want to have to deal with parents complaining about it, we decided to put an age limit on the boards. We also had a problem with young kids spamming etc, which we didnt want or need. Look at it this way if your under 18 and signed up after the age limit, then you have one strike against you. You know you have lied to us, we know also and therefore any crap will result in you being booted from these boards.

Also, I joined after the age limit, so I lied. The reason I joined was even I, got tired of spammy kids *cough*BZP*cough* even though I am still a kid. Hope fully that makes sense? *wacko*

X-D Still, I was an admin on a forum me and my mates made, and then this 'Pappa Bear' guy joined and spammed it up. We made a new forum, but he was sneaky, making multiple accounts, and then posting an outburst of 'Pappa Bear Wuz Here' in big letters all over the forum. Now we've made a new forum, and blocked his I.P address, but his activity in the old forums have discouraged our members and even though he's not on this new forum, it's still practically unused. Now, since practically no one goes on it, I use it to store funny comics I come across. :-P So back on topic, am I okay being here? I haven't been all spammy at all, I haven't done anything wrong, at least to my knowledge. Besides, without me, who would be the lovable TIE pilot with the robotic arm in the TIE Army forum? :-P :-D Edited July 6, 2007 by iamded

Our own Master *yoda* use it more than he should.. :-P I joined after the age limit too, so I guess it's just a question of time before my head is on a stake inside the chamber.. X-D
