That's incredible! It is amazing how many functions you managed to implement in this beast, which doesn't seem to be dreaming, but is wide awake and ready to bite the prize off  I especially like the rear and the cab. The pull-back motor locking mechanism is fantastic and really ads to the playability. I did think about it for a bit, but couldn't make it.

Congratulations, this one will be hard to beat! I can hardly wait for the voting to start!

Wow, that is a great model.

I really like the front with the orange X. The scissor doors are great as well.

I'm not too sure about the back of the vehicle with the chains and the pullback lock. It feels a little overdone.

WOW! It looks like a mix of the tumbler and a buggy on steroids! AWESOME man!

Thanks a lot Zblj! :sweet:

Thank you Miha! We have chosen the same models :classic: - The Dawnbreaker looks so cool!

Thanks Jeron! I'm glad you like the front - inspiration was the KTM X-Bow, although the end result is far from the original. :sweet:

I am aware that I may have gone too far with the chains... :classic:

It looks awesome and very aggresive

Thank you Rishab N, I'm glad you like it! :classic:

Reminds me of a batman tumbler. It's got a gritty feel to it. Great work and good luck in the competition.

Thank you very much Horace! :classic:

Thanks. I was wondering, If someone else would pick those two up besides me and here we go, we are racing head to head "for glory and land", until we are crushed by other great models :cry3: . And I think there are still many more to come as the month is getting to its end. I'd really like to see how that red grader turns out in real bricks! Well, I hope to manage to get together a bit of motion picture until the deadline.

Cheers!

I made some changes to improve caster angle - basically, I made it little bit longer and set the cabin little bit lower.

Here are some photos of the new version:

I used three more parts, so here are the 14 remaining parts:

"Daydream" in numbers:

329 pieces.

Length: 22-24cm/ Width: 15cm/ Height: 9cm.

There is a slight difference in appearance, it still looks wicked :-) Did performance improve much with this correction? How much more distance can it cover?

Thanks! :classic:

I'm not sure how much did this change improve performance, unfortunately I didn't measure the reach of the previous version, :sweet: I don't think there is a big difference. :classic:

But I'm pleasantly surprised with how the pull back motor copes with 332g heavy vehicle

I was just asking, 'cause while I was building mine, I first tried the front axle directly on the main beam leaning downwards quite a bit, thus having a huge negative caster angle and those wheels were going nuts and the inertia from PB was gone really fast. Now with overpositive caster it performs good, but cannot compare to just 42026...

Another thing, you should probably try to take away some red from hightones in the new photos. Those on black background turned out much better.

Got it. :sweet: In my case, difference in caster angle (between those two version) is relatively small so i didn't really notice greater improvement in performance.

I'm sure that The Dawnbreaker has better performance with that superpositive caster and automatic return-to-centre steering - very cool feature btw.

Regarding the photos, I agree with you. These red tones are actually reflection of a red wall next to which I took the photos (beginner's mistake - won't happen again  ). I wasn't sure how black/orange combination will look on black background but I'm satisfied how it turned out.

I'm impressed :)! Very good C-Model!

Very good c-model, I like this a lot. Reminds me of a terrific car, the KTM x-bow.

Thanks, I'm really glad you like it! :classic:

erelender, my inspiration for the front part was actually the KTM X-Bow (because of color combination and panels that i had). :sweet:

Do i get a prize?

Hahahahahaha  Sure, if the prize of knowledge that you were right wasn't enough, just tell me which song do you want me to play for you:
