TMJ28 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Those are some really awesome vehicles! The border patrol rig and the RV really stand out to me. Thanks for sharing! Quote
ER0L Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Amazing shots, your vehicles look very nice in this surrounding. Guess as all-terrain vehicles they need some kind of movable axles though - if you take a look at the pics with the Jeeps you may see what I mean. Have you ever thought about using this part? With this you get a very large axle articulation, as you can see here: Anyhow great work, keep on off-roading! Quote

eurotrash Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Excellent idea and really well executed! Quote
PastVPresent Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Great work! Amazing how these are instantly identifiable (a Jeep, a Unimog, a Bronco, etc.) even in minifig/City scale - very impressive. Quote
Htrag Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Great idea! I would have thought there would be more mountain bikers, but I guess that's not as much fun as a bunch of offroad MOCs. Love the Unimog, and the Park Service trucks! Quote

Zerobricks Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Nice collection and awesome out door photos! A tip, try adding some suspension to the cars for better posing. Could be as simple as a pivoted axle with a rubber 1x2 beam to keep the vehicle upright. Quote

Boettner Builds Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 These are all super cool! The bricks AND the pics! Quote
ER0L Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Could be as simple as a pivoted axle with a rubber 1x2 beam to keep the vehicle upright. Sounds interesting. Would that work better than the spring wheels holders I have suggested? Do you have an example for that? A link or a pic would be nice. I'm always interested in solutions for suspensions. Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I'm gonna make smething in LDD soon. Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 (edited) I attached an LDD file of the simple suspension idea. Edited November 21, 2014 by Zblj Quote
ER0L Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I attached an LDD file of the simple suspension idea. Thank you. It's difficult to evaluate since LDD doesn't say anything about the forces acting. It seems to be a lot stronger than the spring wheels holder though - you probably won't get a comparable articulation on lighter vehicles plus it's much more room consuming than a spring wheels holder. But maybe it works well on larger vehicles where stronger forces are required (and where there is more room). Somebody's got to test it, I guess ... Quote
Ben C Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Stunning! I especially love the one with the Jeeps! Quote
Gabor Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Wow! It's an amazing collection of pictures! The land is beautiful and the vehicles are cool, too! My favourite one is the photo with the wheel change. Great work! Quote
