Lind Whisperer Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Ugh, no clue. College Humor? Nope, it's an actual movie, believe it or not. A couple hints: British movie, not American. Musical comedy. Filmed during WWII. Several well known(at least in Britain) British comedians appeared in it. In the public domain, and available for free viewing over at the Internet Archive. Quote

Lind Whisperer Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Bees in Paradise is pushing the obscurity level a bit far, Lind Whisperer! Sorry about that. I haven't even heard of a lot of the films that have already been mentioned, let alone seen them, so I wasn't quite sure how high the bar was set. Either way, good job, deraven! Your turn! Quote
deraven Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Sorry about that. I haven't even heard of a lot of the films that have already been mentioned, let alone seen them, so I wasn't quite sure how high the bar was set. Nah, it's all good- lots of different ages, localities, and interests on the board so you never know! Good of you to pop back in with a hint rather than killing the thread! So here's one that's really not a great movie, but when I was 15 or so I quite enjoyed it and it's still a great Marx Brothers homage: Quote
Tarfful Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 that would be the [early] '90's farce, Brain Donors. I'm glad this thread didn't perish, I was worried there for a second.. ha :b |Tarfful Quote
deraven Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 that would be the [early] '90's farce, Brain Donors. |Tarfful Yes sir! Your turn again, Tarfful! Quote

deraven Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 But the image gives away half of the title! A lovely turn-of-the-century film, Coffee and Cigarettes. Quote

Brickelodeon Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 I'm glad someone knew. I can't tell one Jim Carrey movie from another. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I'm glad someone knew. I can't tell one Jim Carrey movie from another. WHich Jim Carrey movie? If you refer to UHF: that one stars Weird Al Yankovic and Michael 'Kramer from Seinfeld' Richards. Quote
Brickelodeon Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Hmm, I guess I just assumed from the events that it was a Jim Carrey movie :P Quote
Tarfful Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 so who's up to the challenge of graciously accepting TheLegoExperience's turn? ;b |Tarfful Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) One of my favorite* still shots: Not a random brick-film - this was "LEGO-culturally" significant enough that it got referenced in The LEGO Movie. *I originally wanted to post a shot from the extremely well-done opening sequence, but it would be too hard to tell what it is. Brickelodeon Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 This reminds me of the Outer Limits episode Demon With a Glass Hand, starring Cary Grant. But I think Jedi is most likely correct. Quote
