Brickelodeon Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 In the top of your post editor there is a bar with various tools. Right below the yellow smiley face is a square icon, this is the picture icon. Click this and past the picture URL into the space shown. Quote
deraven Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) OK, I need help. How in the world do I link a picture like y'all did? Easiest way is that there's a button at the top of the editor window that will let you paste in the URL for the image. It looks like a Polaroid picture, under the smiley and next to the < > (Code) button. (Oops - didn't see page 2 - Brickelodeon beat me to it!) Edited November 23, 2014 by deraven Quote
Brickelodeon Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) Okay, times up: http://filmfork-cdn.s3.amazonaws.com/content/Plan9-10.jpg Edited December 9, 2014 by LuxorV Image too big. Turned into link. Quote
deraven Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 How very pulpy! Tor Johnson, vampire girl, horrible lighting - took a while to register, but that'd be Plan 9 from Outer Space! Quote
Brickelodeon Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 You got it! Bella Lugosi died in the middle of acting in it. So they got a lookalike to play his part for half of the movie. The problem was that the lookalike was 2 feet taller than Lugosi! Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Compare that photo with this: George Steele and Lisa Marie as Tor Johnson and Vampira in 'Ed Wood'; a movie about the making of 'Plan 9 from Outer Space'. Very accurate! Quote
Brickelodeon Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Probably the worst movie in history. Quote
deraven Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I enjoyed Ed Wood (certainly more than Plan 9!), but had never directly compared them. That is a fantastic likeness on both parts! Here's my next one: Quote
Brickelodeon Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 That robot looks corny enough to be in any B-grade 50s movie. But the suits give it away. Forbidden Planet? Quote
deraven Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Yes sir, you got it! It's the first appearance of Robby the Robot in Forbidden Planet (1956). Robby was reused so many times, most famously in Lost in Space. I also love the very young Leslie Neilsen in this non-comedy role! Quote
Brickelodeon Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Speaking of Leslie Neilsen, I've been re-watching the 6 episodes of Police Squad! They are HILARIOUS!! Quote
deraven Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Had to copy-and-paste that link to get the image (I think it's blocking deep-linking), but I'm going with the first thing that popped to mind: Is that Ed Harris in the control room of The Truman Show? Quote
Brickelodeon Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 I know this, but I'll let someone else get it. It's pretty easy. Quote
deraven Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Yeah, but I couldn't resist their expressions in that screencap! Quote
Tarfful Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Wow! OK… next up: -snip- I'll bite. that would be Clarence and Mr. Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life. |Tarfful Quote
Tarfful Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 let's take it out of the black and white era for a second.. |Tarfful Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) let's take it out of the black and white era for a second.. |Tarfful The Cell (Pic can be found here) New one: Edited December 9, 2014 by LuxorV Please do not quote images from the same page. Thank you. Quote
Tarfful Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The Cell -snip- right on. I've never seen it, but that would be Krull, if I'm not mistaken.. |Tarfful Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 right on. I've never seen it, but that would be Krull, if I'm not mistaken.. |Tarfful You've NEVER seen Krull? Ok, here's what you should do: Go and watch Krull imediately! (It's a FANTASTIC movie (one of the best ever imho)) After you've seen Krull post a new image in this thread because Krull was the right answer Quote
Tarfful Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) You've NEVER seen Krull? -snip- I still have yet to watch Krull, though I have added it to my ever growing list of things I should watch. I wonder if it's on Netflix.. anywhat, here's another picture for ya: this one should be quite easy.. hopefully anyway. |Tarfful Edited December 1, 2014 by Tarfful Quote
deraven Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Wizards with Mark Hamill… I think. Though I'd say it's pretty obscure for most folks. Luckily(?) I came across it in the comments section of something unrelated on io9 several weeks ago and randomly ended up watching most of the movie. Quote
Tarfful Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) Wizards with Mark Hamill… I think.-snip- yupyup, you got it! that would be Peace the rebellious robot from the 1977 film Wizards. tis quite the trip, isn't it? |Tarfful Edited December 2, 2014 by Tarfful Quote
