I have a little question.

I was making a kind of mosaic and used 5000 round plates 1x1 in different colours. Now I want to change all those plates into square ones 1x1  but while retaining the colours.

What is the quickest way to do so?

Can you open the file in a text editor, and do a find/replace on the design id of the round 1x1 plate?

Select one plate and then using the select menu choose "Same part". Then in the bin double click the replacement part.

or

Select the old part in the bin and choose "Working part" from the select menu (while nothing is selected) followed by double click on the new part.

In both cases use the "Nested editing mode" if you are working with a model containing submodels if you want the parts to be recursively replaced.

This was a fast and straightforward solution to solve the problem. Thanks a lot.

Hello everybody,

I would like to know, whether there is a possibility to change the behaviour of the mouse buttons in LDCad. I love that app really very much and I really appreciate the work of Roland Melkert, but I'm obviously not able to get used to the behaviour of the mousewheel when clicked. In all other 3D CAD apps I used in my professional life clicking the mousewheel and moving the mouse causes the move the camera lookat in relation to the screen.

Don't get me wrong, this is surely a very special problem of myself, but it would be highly appreciated if somebody could tell me, whether there is a possibility to change that behaviour.

Thanks a lot ind advance for your support.

Sunny greetings from Bremen

Unfortunately the Middle mouse button is currently hardcoded to open the property dialog for the selection.

Moving the camera/lookat is done using shift+right mouse button.

I have had this request before so I will look into making it an option for the next version.
