Sammael Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Hi everyone. I'd like to present the final version of my fantasy castle diorama - Darkness Rising. This one was displayed at the 12th exhibition of my LUG - Skockani - in the town of Kragujevac in central Serbia. A slightly different version was presented at the 2013 Lego Fan Weekend in Skaerbaek, and yet another version was shown in Belgrade in late 2012. Here's an aerial view: The display is dominated by Red Queen's Keep in the upper right corner. The keep is raised on a rocky outcrop which is approximately 2 BURPs in height. Contained within the outcrop are a prison and a ruby mine. The keep itself is 64 studs wide and has 3 floors (each is about 17 bricks in height) with a tower on top. Aside from the keep, you can also see the Lich King's Tomb (front right), the gateway next to it, two ramshackle orc towers (to the left of the gate), a druid's tree (in the forest in the front left corner, and the ruined snake temple (to the left of the keep). The various parts of the layout were built at different times, but I'd estimate the total build time to be at least 3 months. Quote
MKJoshA Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Wow. The sheer scale of this is amazing! I love how many different cultures you have fighting each other. And I have to say that your modified black dragon is incredible! Quote
Sammael Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 Thanks :) Here are a few photos of the Keep by itself (taken at my home... don't mind the background): Quote
