Can't seem to find the answer to this. We are attempting to match some bricks bought at the Pick-a-Brick wall at a Lego Store.

On Lego's website, the color is called Bright Blue, but BrickLink has no such color.

They have Med Blue which is definitely wrong and then the list "Blue" which I cannot reference anywhere.

Could someone provide a little help? Trying to order some bricks for my wife for Christmas so she can finish a MOC.

Thanks!

AFAIK, Lego's "bright blue" is the "regular," original blue (and just "blue" on Bricklink). If you think the color you have isn't the regular blue, could you maybe post a pic of the one you're trying to identify along with a known color (another blue, preferably, like from a specific set so we're 100% sure about its color)?

deraven,

Thanks for the reply. I think you may be right about the regular blue. Nothing else looks close. The colors represented on the Lego site look more accurate to me than those on BrickLink, which exacerbates the issue.

I'm only ordering about 30 bricks in that color, so if they're wrong, it's no big deal.

Thanks again,

Jim

Indeed Lego's Bright Blue is Bricklink's regular Blue, cf http://www.peeron.com/inv/colors

antp,

Thanks for the confirmation.

I thought someone said their PAB wall had some azure bricks, whether light or dark I don't know.

TheLegoDr,

Thanks for the reply. I checked the 3 shades of Azure and all appear too light. I think gold ole blue is the bright blue.

Usually the bright blue on the PAB wall at the LEGO Stores is called "Medium blue" on Bricklink.

I think that's a completely different color. Our bricks look exactly like the Lego site's bright blue.

Thanks

Just received my first BrickLink orders and wanted to confirm that the Lego Pick-a-Brick Bright Blue color is indeed the same as the BrickLink Blue.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Never saw that comparison chart before

'Cept it was posted in this very thread, post #3, quoted by you in post #6

TLG's official names don't really make a lot of sense, but I guess they've been revised over the years

Can't really think those conservative folks in Billund would be calling red, yellow, blue, white, black, green and grey other than .. well that back in the sixties?

Cheers,

Ole

There are more colours than he's displaying, just sayin'

That Flickr page shows all the colors we have been able to find. If anyone knows of anything missing, please let us know.

At the moment, I only know that your "Army Green" color is missing

The Peeron color conversion list is a good resource, but it is outdated. I've made a huge list of LEGO-to-BrickLink color conversions last month. It can be found here:

http://www.bricklink...e.asp?ID=868566

It is already slightly outdated, so be sure to read the comments below that message.

(The odd blue mentioned above is shown on Flickr, but it is not included in this BrickLink list because I do not know what to make of it yet.. )

I have started on getting the errors out of the Clikits listings, I hope to post an updated version when those have been sorted out.

Yes, another very nice brick ... :)

I hope more will be found, because I would love to have one (or a few)...

I think it fits the Flickr page here: Unidentified names

and since it was never officially released it is sadly not on my BrickLink list.
