Hinckley Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 So, can I create my own Сhristmas character?) As long as it's Friends or Town themed, yes. Quote
-Zond- Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 All entries are to include only real LEGO. No clone brands, 3rd party parts, or digital entries allowed. Quote
Hinckley Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Can we use ldd? No. Please read the rules. Quote
CrazyDalton777 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Would I be allowed to use "models" from other sets? For exa.mple a vehicle from another set. Quote
billyneon Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Are we allowed to include a wintery build inspired by a Christmas version of an official licensed LEGO character? Quote

No, we want the entire entry to be your own creation. Are we allowed to include a wintery build inspired by a Christmas version of an official licensed LEGO character? I can't see why not. Quote
antp Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 (edited) No, we want the entire entry to be your own creation. That's annoying for me: my creation uses the sleigh from the latest winter village set, as well as a city vehicle. I was going to post my pics now, but then I'll have to replace the vehicles and re-make pictures :/ edit: so I started rebuilding my own vehicles... it is probably better that way anyway Edited December 14, 2014 by antp Quote

MaineBrickFan Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) I need a Moderator;s help -- accidentally posted my entry in the Train Tech forum. Would somebody mind moving it, so I do not have to double post? Edited December 31, 2014 by MaineBrickFan Quote
Little-MsLaura Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Need moderator advice. In a rush to post, and being my first time, I posted more photos than indicated in the rules. I am more than happy to remove photos but am concerned about editing my entry past the contest deadline. Please advise. Quote

gazumpty Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi Hinckley...I have a similar issue with a picture post. I didnt put up a shot of my main interior. Can I swap out one of the posted pics for it or just rely on the brickshelf link. Quote
Little-MsLaura Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 It can be edited out. Thanx, all corrected. My entry shouldn't be breaking any rules now. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 That's great to hear. It's taking me a couple days to get the voting thread together. Entries can be altered up until the voting thread is posted, if and only if you were asked to remove a collage or a number of pictures or video. Content of the pictures cannot be altered at this point. The structure entered is final at this point. Thanks everybody for your patience. Quote
Venunder Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 There are 5 that stand out for me, but I have reduced them to 3 that I think should be produced as Winter Village sets, or maybe as instructions for us to follow and recreate. My votes go to 8. stebai - This is more of an upmarket Village/Town or ski resort type building. 16. Leopold - This suits the Winter Village and goes back to the basics of what a village should have. 18. ShaydDeGrai - This suits the theme of Winter Holiday and Village. There are some interesting building techniques used in all three. ...... and an honourable mention goes to the Dance Hall and Sweet shop. Which are both very good builds and would both fit into a Winter Town but possibly not a Winter Village. The other entries are good in different ways, with many being extensions to what has already been produced, or fitting into a more Fantasy setting than the Winter Vllage theme. The modern sets are good MOC's but do not really fit with my idea of a Winter Village. Quote
