gdugaucquier Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Hi I since we are missing some characters, I made them myself. most of them are not yet finished. Tips and comments are more than welcome. Beorn and his bearform. Gimli and his father (during the Counsel of Elrond). Thror and Thrain Galadriel with a crown and girly hair. Thranduil with a silver crown. Quote
Balbo Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Amazing! The figures look fantastic, i really love all of them! Especially Beorn (Bear) and Thror are awesome! Quote
Deathleech Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I'm loving the bear Beorn! Very nice work. Quote
kevkipo Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Fantastic work! just what we needed Please please PLEASE try to make Thorin in his final battle robe! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Quite good! "Gimli and his father" is my favorite! Quote
Steph 104th Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Awesome work, I want all of these. Thror looks amazing, defiantly my favorite. Quote
Fletcher Floyd Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Great work! All of them are stunning, but like some others before I think Thror is Number One;-) Do you make the beards/accessoires/everything all by yourself? Quote
Bugbot2008 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Fantastic job! They looks just like they do in the video-game :) Seeing these makes me wish even more that lego had made these dwarves too Quote
TheGreyPilgrim Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Truly incredible work! I agree with the others that Thror is outstanding! Gimli and Gloin are great too. Keep up the good work. Quote
Brotherhood Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Wow! These look amazing! What are the custom parts made of? Green stuff? Quote
gdugaucquier Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Thanks! I took parts from the official LEGO (the hair of Saruman for the beard of Thror, Beorns hair for the bear, a combination of Gimli and Gloin for Thrain) and than "melted" them together using aceton. I also melted some abs in aceton so i could use it to fill the little holes. Quote
Darth Caedus Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Well done sir. This just highlights even more acutely how The Lonely Mountain should have been basically identical, but set in the Prologue of AUJ and included Thror, Thrain, 2x Dwarves of Erebor (recolor Gimli's helm), young Balin, and maybe toss Girion in there as well. (armored Balin and armored Dwalin are pretty irrelevant, and armored Fili/Kili ought to have been put in a Battle of Five Armies set). Quote
coolguy2323 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Well done sir. (armored Balin and armored Dwalin are pretty irrelevant, and armored Fili/Kili ought to have been put in a Battle of Five Armies set). I wouldn't call them irrelevant, along with Thorin, Fili, and Kili they are the most important Dwarves because of their history with Thorin. Quote
gdugaucquier Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 I was thinking we needed a bill the poney Quote
Gondorfan Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 The custom pony is amazing, I wish Lego would release one! Quote
MrAlien Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 These are awesome! Everything is awesome. Quote
Balbo Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Wow, your custom pony is really cool . Great job! Edited December 29, 2014 by Balbo Quote
InvincibleEagle Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Is Thranduil's sword meant to be Orcrist? It looks just like it. After seeing Sting and the Uruk Hai sword, I was disappointed that there weren't more film accurate weapons. Quote

After seeing Sting and the Uruk Hai sword, I was disappointed that there weren't more film accurate weapons. Yes and no. I printed (3D) a sword and that was meant to be Orcrist. I liked it and i printed it again, made it smaller and decided to use it for Thranduil. Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 These look great, though shouldn't they be in the Minifigure Customization forum? Quote
coolguy2323 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) I would buy your bear-form Beorn! Edited January 3, 2015 by coolguy2323 Quote
Hypernova888 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 These are all absolutely BRILLIANT! I'd sure love to see some how-to's! As in where to cut, what paint you used, etc. I'm usually a purist, but I am willing at times to alter some pieces, and I think these are all worth it! Quote
