Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Ahoy, I am much surprised to see that http://www.classic-pirates.com/ has been down for something like two weeks now without anything happening. I was under the impression that this site was the "entrance" to our pirate forums. Who is to be contacted? Is this going to be down for good? Anyone around who knows? Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I believe Mister Phes runs the site. He said a few months ago that Lego decided classic-pirates no longer needed a Lego Ambassador, but I wouldn't think that means the site gets taken down. Quote
Artifex Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Have hope; aybe it's just a temporary thing. Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 maybe it's just a temporary thing. Another three days later - same result. And when I look at the pirate MOC page, it is a shame how few replies there are. I also feel that the number of new posts is somewhat declining. Quote
Capt. Stabbin Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Classic-Pirates is experiencing technical difficulties. The powers that be are working on it. I'm not sure when it will be back up, but I will keep you posted. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 7, 2014 Author Posted December 7, 2014 Thanks for the update! Quote

I also feel that the number of new posts is somewhat declining. I think that when the new line gets released, there will be a regain in interrest for the pirate theme. Actually, when I saw the first pictures of this new theme, I started working on my own fort. I believe it will be finished in two months. Lucklily, you are there to keep this forum very alive. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted December 9, 2014 Governor Posted December 9, 2014 Yes, there is a team of highly trained monkeys working on this... But please remember, they are only monkeys! Quote

dr_spock Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Would bribing the monkeys with bananas get things back up faster? Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Would bribing the monkeys with bananas get things back up faster? it depends: if this guy is in charge, he might be looking for gold You probably need to donate here: One banana is not enough to get them going! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 a week gone by ... the monkeys have not yet succeeded... Quote
Darth Punk Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Bananas are in short supply this time of year. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted December 18, 2014 Governor Posted December 18, 2014 a week gone by ... the monkeys have not yet succeeded... It seems the monkeys were deavoured by gators... A fresh team of monkeys has been dispacted to look into the problem... Quote
dr_spock Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Bad gators! They should be punished with the SLA (Service Level Agreement). Quote
