Bob De Quatre Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Nell Catagaan's speeder bike called Orange Fury It's been a long time since I posted something in the Star Wars forum, so I thought I'd post that little build. Hope you like it Quote
Kodan Black Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I'm not very familiar with Old Republic, but the bike looks cool. And it also seems like it is rather "realistic" in how it is put together. Nice use of parts, very sleek and well thought out and quite compact too. Great little build! Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Thanks everyone I'm not very familiar with Old Republic... Well that's basically an excuse for me to create what I want, outside of OT's aesthetic Quote
goatman461 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 The transition between the orange slopes on the top looks cool. I'm interested in why you switched between lbg and dbg in the greebling instead of keeping a more consistent palette. Mainly I mean the dbg clip on the back, the lbg door rail plate on the side, and the dbg cone and round thing below it. Quote
Robianco Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I think that mixture of LBG and DBG really works on the undercarriage area... and I agree with the comments above about the transition between slopes... that really works. Looks like a really solid little build that could easily be an official set. The colour scheme looks fantastic! Quote
Chills Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I opened this expecting to see what monstrous MOC had Bob made now.... and I find something small. Yet you've managed to get a great amount of detail into the MOC and captured TOR feel perfectly. *bows* great work yet again! Quote

Mainly I mean the dbg clip on the back, the lbg door rail plate on the side, and the dbg cone and round thing below it. Well I wanted to have dbg for the "inside", and lbg for the greebles. But some parts aren't available in dbg, so I used lbg... And that's the start of the inconsistency But it doesn't looks so bad. I'll take a better pictures to show the side and rear too. I think that mixture of LBG and DBG really works on the undercarriage area... and I agree with the comments above about the transition between slopes... that really works. Looks like a really solid little build that could easily be an official set. The colour scheme looks fantastic! Thanks. I first wanted to have dark red and white colors, but I only have the big slopes in orange (cloud city planet set). So I decided to do a mockup in orange, and I really liked it I opened this expecting to see what monstrous MOC had Bob made now.... and I find something small. Yet you've managed to get a great amount of detail into the MOC and captured TOR feel perfectly. *bows* great work yet again! Thanks Chills. I have to build small, since I don't have an awesome room to display big models But don't worry, I made this because I needed a speeder bike for... well something else... Quote
Kodan Black Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 May just be me, but the lbg/dbg combo works well. I think it would be kinda monotone otherwise. As a "practical" thought you could see it as either replaced parts or even just ones that have more wear/aren't as clean. Like a car's exhaust might have the pipes that look all dirty and with a bit of rust but there is a chrome exhaust tip that looks nice since it is usually the only visible part. Quote
Chills Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Thanks Chills. I have to build small, since I don't have an awesome room to display big models But don't worry, I made this because I needed a speeder bike for... well something else... LOL. Cool, can't wait to see what you've got in the works. Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 But don't worry, I made this because I needed a speeder bike for... well something else... Is that for the giant cruiser you're working on?! Lovely little speeder, fits perfectly with TOR aesthetics. Quote
