dvsntt Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Our LUG in Colorado (COWlug) has been spending the last several months building iconic buildings and sites of CU campus as a commissioned work for their heritage center. The event opens this Saturday and I am so excited to finally be able to present it to the community. Even the local newspapers and radio have done stories about it in the last few days: http://www.kunc.org/post/real-life-or-lego-life-hit-bricks-plastic-cu-boulder http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_27036532/university-colorado-lego-cy-immortalized-plastic-brick-replica?source=infinite http://www.dailycamera.com/cu-news/ci_27030769/cu-boulder-heritage-center-unveiling-lego-replica-campus The links above have some really good photos, but I will share some of my own with you too. TheLegoDr Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Impressive. I could see our LUG wanting to do something related to UNL. Although I would probably opt out. Either way, the scale and detail look good here! Quote

AFOLguy1970 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I graduated from CU in 1992 and really miss it in addition to Colorado in general. One of my goals is convince my wife that the north Texas allergies are detrimental to our kids, and only a place like the Front Range of Colorado would be a better environment for us all. Oh yeah--the model You did a fantastic job with those structures. I could instantly recognize Old Main, Folsom Stadium, and the Mackay auditorium. The Flatiron background also amazing! OK, I am ready to return home now. Quote
