marcosbessa Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 This is model I have built back in the first half of 2012. I don´t have the physical model anymore, but I just found the pics I had in my archive and decided to finally post it. It´s a steampunk submarine, originated from a former pirate ship that was converted. It had no interiors. It was simply a tryout into this world I quite love and admire for its aesthetic richness but to which I had never dared to dive. So, here's my first steampunk adventure! :) There´s more pictures of it on my flickr. Just follow any of the links of the pictures! :) Quote
Kodan Black Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 AMAZING! The detailing is phenomenal. The front propellers, the greebles, everything! Really a beautiful build. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Ah lovely! The engine details are excellent and the "specialised" part use puts anyone who claims they are single-use to shame! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Jolly good! A very good steampunk creation. Excellent reuse of the hull part of "the Flying Dutchman". I have always wondered what to do with it. Quote
caparica Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 It is excelent! I love steampunk, and this creation is amazing. As I told Marcos before, it remides me of a Steampunk Beatles Yellow Submarine. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Your creation would make Jules Verne smile........Brick On Steam-Punk On 'marcosbessa' ! Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Great job! All the detailing is really good but what caught my eye were the whips at the back, great use there! Quote
WhiteFang Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Amazingly massive awesome steampunk submarine that is ready to be submerged. It's great that you have some spare time to share this fine creation with us. Quote
Colossus Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Man, Marcos, I wish Lego would let you design a steampunk line of vehicles and minifigures. People that see the collection of Lego sets in my home ALWAYS comment on the visual appeal of The Sea Cow. I wish I had other steampunk sets to display along side it . (hint, hint) Thanks for sharing pics of this steamarine. I'm a sucker for intricate greebling. Quote
bjj8383 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Personally, I think it would make a great Spelljammer ship. Quote
