Siegfried Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Perhaps if people learned to put 'This is a fake' or 'This is not a real set' on their fake set mock-ups. Then we'd all know. My favourite example of an accidental hoax is this one... Quote
Brainbox Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 My favourite example of an accidental hoax is this one... Yeah, I remember that. It is good, isn't it? And just before people get too excited, that picture that Sinner posted is NOT REAL. ;-) Quote
Siegfried Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Yeah, I remember that. It is good, isn't it? Very good. *wub* (I believe he has an account here.) And just before people get too excited, that picture that Sinner posted is NOT REAL. ;-) Oh no! 8- Quote
badgerboy Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 (edited) I think I owe you good people a big apology - I did this before I was a member here and I remember seeing a lot of confusion over my "box-mock-up" - I just did it as a bit of fun for the FBTB UCS competition. Incidentally the IRON GIANT and VW camper on my Brickshelf caused similar confusion elsewhere, despite the deliberate inconsistencies I tried to put into my pics! So, to anyone who feels hoodwinked or tricked by me... SORRY!! :-$ Oh, and Sinner, I'm touched that you like my Grievous... Thanks! :-) Edited August 9, 2007 by badgerboy Quote
Siegfried Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I think I owe you good people a big apology Not according to me. IMHO the fighter is too detailed to be a UCS and would be way too expensive; do you know the piece count? As for the camper... ... I think it is funny! I just love the setting. Oh, and Sinner, I'm touched that you like my Grievous... Thanks! :-) Doesn't everyone? *sweet* Quote
badgerboy Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 do you know the piece count? I've absolutely no idea but a guess would probably be around 1500, I've taken it apart, didn't do any instructions, or counting or taking vital statistics... I needed those parts back in play! Doesn't everyone? *sweet* You've made me blush... :-$ *sweet* :-$ Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I'm really hopefull for next year concerning technic with the amazing sets we've seen as well as one few have been able to buy :-/ , so theres is great hope in that theme. The sets mentioned doesn't interest me. Small sets usually don't have any play value for me since i like my models to move on their own or at least to have impressive functions that small sets usually don't have. But next fall might well turn up to be at least as exciting as this one. :'-) Quote
Siegfried Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Moo. Moo. I'm voodoo cursing you. Well I wasn't fooled. So what was your game then? Does this mean that you are the designer/builder and you were just being funny, or have I completly missed the point? Quote
mahjqa Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 To see if I could. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 To see if I could. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Well assuming it is your MOC, it is pretty darn good. *wub* Not very convincing as a Lego product though. :-P Quote
maiq the liar Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 (edited) The ice cube tray could be used to make a nice Igloo... Edit: this was in response to a older post. D'OH! Edited August 19, 2007 by maiq the liar Quote

I hope they go about and do a very good pirate theme! If we admit that pirate is returning, viewing the greatness of the Castle line, I have no doubt that the pirate theme will be incredible 8- Quote
Shakar Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Remember the Lego Indiana Jones videogame trailer? It clearly showed the classic islanders in a dark flesh skin tone. Maybe they'll use them for the (hopefully real) 2008 Pirate line? Shakar Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Does anyone know if there will be some more Impulse sets in My/June/July 2008? I'd like very much a harbour worker with a some barrels and other stuff. Quote

You can bet that this Impulse line will sell extraordinary well and will be hard to get at first (judging from TLC's crappy capacity of producing sets that shops want !!). For them I guess this will be easy money so I'm positive about a second wave of Impulse in may comprising the following: * new Castle: probably another knight + skellie + orc or dwarf * new City: harbour and new stuff * new May theme ?? * Mars Mission: I couldn't care less And unfortunatly I don't think we'll ever see license Impulse sets *sing* Impulse ON !! *yoda* Quote

Maybe they'll use them for the (hopefully real) 2008 Pirate line? Shakar Well i doubt they will as they seem intent on keeping their lines and the licensed ones apart, i do agree though that it would be great if they did include them. Quote
Piranha Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 (edited) I can just imagine another castle set for the spring Castle Well :9.99 -Includes Princess Minifig or Peasent Women with the braided hair piece -Small well with flowers and a New bucket mold *wub* -Small Playability feature is the bucket can go up and down the well This will let TLG expand with village sets and a chance to do more female figs What do you think? Yes I know there needs to be some evil in the set, maybe a frog or something Piranha Edited August 25, 2007 by Piranha Quote

Maybe they'll use them for the (hopefully real) 2008 Pirate line? Shakar You have to remember that the dark skin means it would never be used in a system theme that isn't a license. All normal themes have yellow figs...it's the same reason we haven't (and probably won't) see black minifigs in normal themes, because yellow figs are supposed to be race-neutral Quote
Ogel111 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 The thing I wonder is how there going to make a set with a hailfire droid and spider walker so cheep but it sounds like a cool set. Quote
