Jakorin Swiftsword Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 The trip across the sea to the Mystic Isles was bleeding with havoc and mayhem. Danger seemed to lurk in the waters after each cresting wave. Between rough seas and giant sea serpents, Jakorin and his men were clearly spent upon arriving at the welcoming shores. But none the less, they ventured inward. Donning new armor, Jakorin led them through treacherous foliage and thick underbrush. It wasn't long before an elf elder and a band of followers confronted them along a clearer path. Jakorin, ready for anything, raised his blade to the elder, being that his intention were not yet clear. He frowned as the elder scowled hideously at him. With a wave of his stick, he swatted the blade aside. Elder: "Put that thing down fool! I have little interest in fighting you, unless necessary. State your business!" Jakorin frowned at the speed of the seemingly "old" elf, and lowered his sword. He gestured for his men to halt and then he cleared his throat to speak as clearly as possible so that all the elves could hear him. Jakorin: "I afraid it's of a darker sort. Trouble looms between Avalonia and Mitgardia. Your council is greatly needed." The elder grimaced, as if a foul taste had entered his mouth. Elder: "I assumed as much. I am in touch with the spiritual energy of this land. I indeed felt a disturbance." Jakorin: "So you'll help?" Elder: "We'll talk. Then we'll see what we can do to slow the dwarven advance without bloodshed." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for looking! I hope to have at least one more build up for this challenge concerning slowing the dwarves down without bloodshed. Quote
Slegengr Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Nice build, Jakorin! I really like the trees, especially the many angles on the foliage! The landscape and irregular base are great as well, especially the rock extending under and beyond the grass edge. Nice story, I am awaiting more for this category. Quote
mrcp6d Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Very, very nice! Though, it looks like that "elder" is a little bit on the 'walking dead' side of 'old' Quote
