Tommy Styrvoky Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 There wasn't a short amount of time for this contest... I was able to build 3 models during the span of it. It will be interesting to see how the voting goes, there are so many great models that got entered into this contest. Quote
aol000xw Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 'non-mature behaviour' Says the person that claims we had the whole Sunday to build, yet people were still uploading entries yesterday. I notice everything that goes on around here you know. Shows how prompt and organised an 'adult' can be. Kmt, bruh -_- I can't believe there can be so much wrong in a single line,The irony is strong with this one. Quote
Jim Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 I have discussed things with LeocornoProductions and it's all good. So let's stick to the contest again. Thanks! Unfortunately I haven't had the time to compose the voting topic yet. I will post it asap. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Unfortunately I haven't had the time to compose the voting topic yet. I will post it asap. Jim we can't wait!!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeee  Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I didn't ever enter this contest because I thought that I could win. I just want to see if I can get a vote, only one would make my day. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Well you've got mine, that's for sure. Quote
TeClem8 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Jim we can't wait!!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeee  Yeah, I am in the same situation as you. Very anxious and excited. This contest is a great success! Quote
JamesJT Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 This is the least judgmental forum I have ever been involved in (Brickset take note!). Everybody is so kind and supportive, judging who made the best (and also therefore the worst) MOC just feels at odds with the general atmosphere. Forget the vote – well done everybody. Tell us the criteria for TC7. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Yeah, obviously my top vote will go to the entry that I think is the best, but my other votes will be decided by the amount of hard work and dedication people have put into their mocs, even if they aren't the best. Which is why 1 of my votes will go to epic technic. Edited February 17, 2015 by LeocornoProductions Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I think I will vote for the complexity and fidelity, I don´t care the amount of work if you have talent and build the same as another in half the time does not have to go against you IMO. Quote
JamesJT Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 4 of the TC6 entries have made it on to thelegocarblog in the last few days! Quote

I will vote to entries that work properly and this is proved properly and look good. I prefer fewer but more reliable functions and compactness to big and complicated models. I still haven't finished watching all videos, but I want to do it twice. Edited February 18, 2015 by Lipko Quote
Omikron Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) What entries work improperly? What are the criteria you are using to determine it? Edited February 18, 2015 by Omikron Quote
Lipko Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 What entries work improperly? What are the criteria you are using to determine it? Models that don't roll for example. Sorry that I want to make a decision based on looking into the models in depth and I don't want to judge just by a first impression. Quote

Jim Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 This is the least judgmental forum I have ever been involved in (Brickset take note!). Everybody is so kind and supportive, judging who made the best (and also therefore the worst) MOC just feels at odds with the general atmosphere. I also think that there's great sportsmanship among the members of this board. Every contestant likes to win, but there's also great appreciation for other MOCs. That's exactly what makes it fun for me to run contests (and the voting.....it's part of a contest) Quote
PKW Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 for me the best criteria is more or less this: (functions/scale)xaesthetics-unrealistoc features (like a drifting forklift ahahah) (with this criteria mine sure isn't The best but I wish almost the third place :') ) but I also like to judge if a MOC use in the best way limitation put by rules one funny thing in this contest is that a really low number of entries haven't an opponent :3 Quote
Lipko Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Did your dragonfly roll? Yes, if you placed on the top of the stairs then kicked it down. It roll quite poorly though... Anyway, my mistake. I meant models that have remote controlled driving functions, but the driving is not shown on the video. We have some of those entries and I wonder if it's just a video mistake (forgetting to film that) or the model is not able to drive on its own. Not driving is just an example. Okay, this may be an inapropriate voting method because most entries do work, but I'll see. I have to look through all videos again and again. By the way, maybe contestant shouldn't be allowed to vote, especially guys like me who are only in it for the money Edited February 18, 2015 by Lipko Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I prefer fewer but more reliable functions and compactness to big and complicated models. Compactness is what I look and I like, I hate to see wasted space but I think it is a hard quality to see for everyone, it is clear that for my compactness and structural strength are within the complexity. Yes, if you placed on the top of the stairs then kicked it down. It roll quite poorly though... Mine komatsu can fly like yours too  . Quote
PKW Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 contestant has To vote, i want one 10 mark at least for My MOC, mine haahah Quote
Jim Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Voting is finally here! Yup, it is!! For all members who are wondering when I will close it; I don't the exact closing date. Will be around the end of February. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 When I logged on to eurobricks and I saw the entry topic, I jumped for joy. Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hey Jim, I just noticed you put TC7 as a tag not TC6. Quote
