In my book: flying = moving in the air, you can't stay in one place or you'll fall (for example birds). Levitation = rise from ground to the air, you can stay still and move up and down, but you can't move horizontally. (For example magnets can do so)

Lewa has to use both his mask power and elemental power in order to fly, and using only one of these can be quiet demanding, as Toa Nuva he has better control over his element, but he has to focus on both of these things anyway. He can't fly for extended period of time because of this, so adaptive armor giving him jets to propel him makes perfect sense. If you want to discuss weird equipment of Toa Nuva in Karda Nui I would focus on Pohatu. Two propellers, one in each hand? Really?

I was so amazed when I saw the stand in color. I am gonna squeal so bad when I see them in person.

When I first saw the color photo, my brain nearly exploded, for two reasons: 1) YAY!! BIONICLE IS BACK!!!! and 2) NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! WHY DID I SELL MY COLLECTION?!?!?

But yeah, when they are revealed at NYCC (Yeah, I am 100% sure of it), I might explode. I won't be there in person, since I never go to these events, but I will wait. On every. Lego. Website. All. Night.

True, that was pretty stupid. And while talking about Pohatu: WHY WAS HE ORANGE?! He was always a beautiful brown, but ever since the Inika, they said, "Hey, let's mess with all of them and make them orange now!"

Also on Karda Nui, what was up with the Makuta species? I had always thought, up to that point, "Oh, Makuta is a single villain." But no, now the deal is, "He's Teridax, not 'Makuta'. That is the entire species of villains." What?! And they were not even real villains; they were just monster-bugs.

2001-2003=Great 2004-2005=Good 2006-2007=Meh 2008=Nope 2009=Oh, this is getting good again. 2010=Ugh.

Yup. Element, not mask. So why do people think they protect the masks from the Toa and/or the Spiders ?

And the set list provided by the swiss shop a couple days ago is a fake too ?

You're not understanding what I'm saying. What I mean is that the Defender of Fire is called such because it represents the element of fire, not because it defends it.

I liked the propellers. Useful for flying, could close into drills, and also play turbine-blender. As for the colour, yellow and orange toys probably sell better than brown ones. They're bright, eye-catching colours, while brown isn't. Rocks also come in a wide variety of colours, look at gemstones. Toa of Stone could theoretically be a wide variety of colours and it would still make sense.

With the Makuta, the Brotherhood was revealed in 04.

"Come, join my brothers and me." - Teridax, LoMN.

Hence why Teridax was then referred to as The Makuta of Metru Nui until his name was revealed during the Mutran Chronicles. Furthermore, Icarax was kicking around in 07 too. He appears in one of the stories, delivering the Staff of Artahka to Teridax, and he appears in the Toa Nuva Blog, where he curbstomps the whole team, is stated explicitly to be an even more capable and threatening combatant that Teridax, and tanks a Nova Blast strong enough to obliterate an entire island, though he did get swept away by it.

Not to mention that this was intentionally planned from the start. The whole thing with Teridax being Mata Nui's brother was a metaphor: They were brothers in the sense that close bonds between Matoran are referred to as brothers or sisters- they're not related, they simply share a goal. Teridax was always intended to take control of the Matoran Universe Robot, while Mata Nui took a second one, he just ended up going about it the wrong way.

My Eyes catched Brotherhood of Makuta in 2005 Hagaha comic when the toa stole... was it Mask of Light if I remeber correctly? WTF it was even doing there?

Makuta Kojol stole it from the Island of Artahka, where it had just been forged. He was then killed by Tobduk, as was every other being that aided the assault. The Hagah stole the Mask from Teridax, were turned into the Rahaga by Roodaka, but escaped, and sealed the mask somewhere on Metru Nui with a Makoki stone. The Toa Hordika were tasked with finding the pieces of the stone, which they did, and then claimed the mask. The Visorak attacked, so Onewa used his Rhotuka to encase it in rock, for safe-keeping. Vakama then put it in the Lava Break when they arrived on Mata Nui, where Takua would later find it.

Oh, yes, I see. Stupid me.

It seems BZP is the only website (for now) to be given those tickets, I'd say the chances of the reveal being Bionicle being pretty high.

Well, uh

Anyone look at the thing up above?

To be fair, they gave a lot more tickets to BZP than they did to EB, so it's still likely Bionicle

Adding to list of evidence...

There is no doubt now. It will be Bionicle, so let's talk about the reveal: do you think that they will showcase all of them? Or just one or two, to really kill us? And what if they reveal that they will be released within weeks, before the holiday season.....

I don't care how many they showcase, as long as they showcase at least one. Seeing the actual thing will be awesome - I'm expecting at least a few differences between the actual products and the leaked images.

If they do reveal it there, I'd imagine they would showcase at least the six Toa (or, Masters, as they're presumably called), not sure about the defenders though. Also, didn't we get some info that they would be released in February?

Really? The biggest comeback of a Lego line ever, and they are going to skip the holiday season? No, sir. They may have done that back when the line was first introduced, but now it has confirmed popularity, and confirmed sales. And anyway, don't all lines release their new sets in January? So you're telling me that they will skip the holidays, let all the other lines get released for people to spend money on, and then release Bionicle?

They could do. If BIONICLE is likely to overshadow other themes they might want to keep it secret from the wider public and bide their time.

For one it would build up the expectation/anticipation in the AFOL community/the community in the know and so more people would rush to buy them when finally released.

Secondly it gives them time to exhaust all the remaining HF stock before attention is lost completely to BIONICLE.

And lastly, if they don't advertise it too much and release it after all the other (less popular) themes, it means that the people unaware of its return will spend their money on other themes first instead of saving all their funds for BIONICLE sets; thus meaning when they eventually come out on sale they'll want to buy them despite the fact they've spent a lot already- increasing sales for LEGO.

EDIT- that first point is actually a pretty poor argument actually. I realize that now I've said it, hee hee. I think most AFOLs who like BIONICLE will rush to buy them whenever they get released.

Still, though....It would be stupid of them to skip the holidays. After December, there is really no massive wave of people rushing to clean the shelves. After the holidays, it just turns into kids buying a small, cheap toy on the weekend, and AFOLs (or TFOLs) adding to their collection, slowly but surely. The holidays, though, create that massive influx of people: demand is high, and products fly off shelves. People would buy Bionicle for themselves, for memories, and they would also buy for their children, so that they can have the same memories they had as children. Plus, people would see that their kids like HF, and a series that looks just like HF, but possibly cheaper, could appeal to them for the holidays....

You're right, of course - but cheaper than Hero Factory? No way. The Defenders, what you might call the "mini sets", are most likely slated at about $10-$15 ($13 was the original pricing for the Mistika, Glatorian, etc.), with Toa likely coming in around $20 (roughly Titan price).

That means that, if the Toa happen to be $20, that's $120 for all six. If the Defenders are $10, than that's $60. And let's not forget LOSS, who'll probably be $20, maybe more. That's a grand total of $200 for the entire collection. If the Defenders are $15, it'd be $230. If some of the larger Toa are $25, than roughly $245.

I see the Defenders to be $8. Remember the initial HF wave, with the Heroes all being $6? They all had 17 pieces, and I can't see the Defenders having more pieces than that. The Defenders appear to be smaller than the 2.0 Heroes, which were $12. The Toa are likely their old prices: $12-15, and the Defenders have to be less.

A smaller price point like that would be excellent. I feel like the price estimates we have are likely a little off anyway, since calculating the inflation of NZD is inexact, as far as I am aware.

There's absolutely no way Tahu, Kopaka, and Onua are $12-15. $20 is all I can see for them. Now, the other three actually probably are less, but I'm still seeing them as $15, maybe $12. Defenders I could see as $10-8, I suppose.

The thing is, they almost never release the sets around the actual holiday time; wide release is usually in January, and only individual outlets might stock things early from time to time, which generally only profits them anyway. The revenue generated from retailers by broken streetdates is minimal at best.

Also, I think people are vastly overestimating how much money this line will make as a whole anyway. Constraction always has been and always will be niche. Hero Factory shows them what they can expect sales to be like, and if releasing things in March works for their bottom line (assuming it did this year with HF) then they'll keep on doing that.

Anyway, the prices we've guessed are most likely accurate, or at least reflective of the ones we've seen this year. Plastic doesn't come cheap, guys =P.

If you want to discuss weird equipment of Toa Nuva in Karda Nui I would focus on Pohatu. Two propellers, one in each hand? Really?

Pohatu's 2008 design was great! He's has always been the odd man out on the team. Giving him ridiculous propeller arms isn't the obvious route, but I feel it fits the spirit of the character design.

Far more than "Bazooka-Bayonet" Kopaka and "I'm Cloud Strife Now" Lewa.
