Might be my internet going bonkers. Getting a DNS error.

What is it?

Brick built MoCr on the pedestal from the teaser. As well as a backdrop of a very lava-y area. Ta Wahi, I'm sure.

Anyone done that voodoo yet to check the website in Wayback to see if they have it in the servers yet? Looks by the backdrop there that they are going to release it after NYCC. If they can goof up in social media twice why not on their website twice? edit:Nvm I can't see anything with it.

Maybe some buttons in the files again? That was some serious skills to even guess that one URL though...

The grey things poking out by his mask. They look like tusks or dreadlocks (of course, they're not, but it looks like that to me.)

Maybe Lewa drawn as the Predator could have been the way to point out his strange features. (Taster of Jungle is still great though! ) Edited by InfurnallDragon

Ahh... Pohatu's Boomerangs use a three-stud-long pin to hold them together (definitely two pieces). Guess that explains how they attach to his feet for his jet... Boots...

I'm not going to get used to that...

I'm pretty sure it's a two-stud pin and the hinge area is half a stud thick

Or they could not be hinged at all and the pin is purely for the purpose of attaching to the feet. I'm starting to think this is more likely.

Oh man, those Protector masks get better every time we see them. This final iteration is all badass. Also, black/purple mix is basically my dream come true. Got hype for days here.

And the New Pakari looks so stunningly good... and surprisingly close to the original. Thank goodness.

I was listening to Pokemon Symphonic Evolutions and then decided to listen to the LoMN soundtrack and was thinking how amazing it'd be to hear this in a concert. Probably never gonna happen though. xD

Was the soundtrack ever released fully?

They might not be hinged, but they're definitely made up of two mirrored parts. You can see how they have a seam on one end of the rotor but not the other.

I'm thinking it's two parts with a half-stud connection as well.

If I am not mistaken you can get the complete soundtracks of LOMN (and the Legend Reborn) on the Biomedia Project's website. Thats where I got my music, and I listen to it every now and then when I do homework or something.

Looking at Onua. I'm really liking his design. The shovel claws are awesome. And it does appear to be that the Earth Protector does have trans purple 1x1 round studs. There the same color as his bones.

Anyone think that the two-toned Protector mask scheme is very similar to the Metru Nui Matorans'? (Just pointing it out)

I actually have a more complete official soundtrack from the Special Features of LOMN and WOS

Is anyone else really happy that Onua is clearly the strongman of the group? As a kid I always assumed that Onua and Pohatu were equally strong, but one was all about upper-body strength and the other about lower. I was never a fan of that Greg-ism that Pohatu was the strong one, and Onua was just a regular-strength Toa with a Pakari. Seemed really unintuitive.

Apparently LEGO screwed up and accidentally posted these photos on Facebook early? they're gone now and this screencap is the only evidence of it I've seen but yeah here they are

also I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure how Lewa's wing function is shown could only work if I was right about the lower arms. Well, plus the way the armor is on the arm is consistent with that arm build.

Still not much of a good look at the gearbox, but if I had to guess at this point, I'd say it'll look something like a larger version of this piece.

Nont only has Pohatu learned spinjitzu, HE HAS BOOMERANG JET BOOTS. *oh2* (And the Rahkshi staff-end's purpose is finally revealed!)

EDIT: Also, Onua has TRANS-PURPLE bones! :classic: And it's the return of opaque heads with trans-eyestalks! :cry_happy:

Larger Onua off tumblr:

(snip)

I just spent 3 hours analyzing the older pics of Onua and starting a thread dedicated to Onua's designs through the ages... If I had just waited...

These pics show off more of how he is designed, but doesn't answer my questions about his gearbox.

That design is definitely printed on this model, not stickers.

Onua looks absolutely amazing. I love that Pakari! You can also see the new head piece poking out from the back of his head. I think he might be my favourite of the lot. I dare say he makes the best use of the Hulk chest piece so far for an official set. My only gripe is that his chest design probably uses stickers...

Speaking of new headpieces, what methods do you guys currently use to attach Kanohi (that use pins) to HF torsos?

I tried using the classic ball-socket hand (used as hands in Nuva and bohrok to hold tools) on the original skull to put a Rode on an AV-Matoran body, masks that are more like Onua Mistika's with the actual pins might work better if you balance the pin holding the hand on the back of the head, with the pin holding the mask on the head. Sadly the original skulls are too tall for most of the masks made for metru heads, and that Rode usually falls off (if shaken). Last thing I looked into was Brain Attack Mannequin heads (which lack variety and are shaped odd) or using metru build's thigh pieces for necks to metru heads (which doesnt look too good if your character doesnt have a bulky build to cover that up). Other than that theres the AV matoran heads which- again- lack variety of colors, and have that weird alien shape that sticks far out of the back and stick their faces really far forward.

I've had a lot of trouble with this and am curious if there are other ways too. Maybe a stickied thread dedicated to Macgyver techniques for building compatable heads from the ground up is in order, or other invention ideas to bring backwards compatibility to the more complicated situations like this.

Also did I read right somewhere in this? Did Cryoshell do something for Breakout? Was it a song or just background music to set tones for their movies? I didn't know they had done anything with LEGO since 2008 tbh.

I just noticed that these huge hi res pictures dash the hopes of individually controlled arm swinging gears. Oh well, I'm not big on gears anyway, I just hope that they're easy to lock into place.

Anyway, Onua looks fantastic! The dual use of his weapons look like they'll be the best of the bunch. Shovel hands or sledge hammer? Can't go wrong.

The Earth defender looks very nice as well, that color scheme is great. I'm quite excited to see the defenders.
