TheBrickPal Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 BS01 also has a few great images (we're trying to work out how to handle reboot stuff). You could check there if the site doesn't keep going offline... Quote
Agent Fusion Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I'm afraid the hype train crashed at NYCC. We now only have the hype replacement bus service. What about the Hype Plane? Joking aside, I've been thinking about the "Ancient City" in LOSS' description. What could it mean? Quote
Timeline15 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Well, the "ancient city" below the island last time was metru nui... Quote
Chro Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Presumably some ruin where masks of power could be found. Quote
Timeline15 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 much more likely. But I wonder who put them there after they were "scattered all over the island". Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Unless your parts bin had different parts than mine, they are actually Tr. Fluore. Green. I have eight of them from that same building event on a MOC sitting in front of me. But of course, Tr. Fluore. Green does generally look more yellowish than greenish, particularly under certain lighting. Almost the same color as lemon juice. This is the same color of shell featured prominently on Dragon Bolt, Surge (BA), and Toxic Reapa, right? Also, can anyone say if there's a real-life analogue to Onua's weapon? Edited October 11, 2014 by TheDesuComplex Quote
Cheatster9000x Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 At least you guys will get them. They'll probably be available near me in December, but it's incredibly rare that I ever have any opportunity to buy anything. (Like, I didn't get any IFB sets until two days ago. And even then I was only able to get the Flea.) Anyway I'll stop my whining. More power to the rest of you, who will be able to review the sets to death so that I know exactly which ones I want, right? hahahahah no. wait a minute yes. this will be a perfect jump start to my channel if I do it right. yes. *Continues to be an impatient ---- waiting for teh bonkles* Quote
Agent Fusion Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Also, can anyone say if there's a real-life analogue to Onua's weapon? What you mean? Quote
Lyichir Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 What you mean? In which configuration? It can be used as a warhammer or split apart into two large claws. Quote
Antrozek Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I dont know if it has been mentioned already, but LEGO already posted the NYCC presentation pictures on their Facebook, we get clear images on some of the concept art and animation stills Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 What you mean? In which configuration? It can be used as a warhammer or split apart into two large claws. The warhammer. It seems really odd to me, and looks more like an axe than some kind of hammer. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 So, why are people calling Gali's weapon a trident? Especially when it's the bottom of her AXE? Quote
Bricknblue Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) I only built mine from one box, and not the greatest Bionicle builder, but I like her. I just wish I looked for more of the clip on armor pieces to make her look a little better. (I'll upload better pictures later. Sleeping 11 hours after being awake 45 makes you sore.) I also have hand pieces holding the sword together that can replace her claw hands. Edited October 11, 2014 by Bricknblue Quote
Agent Fusion Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I was I was at that building event... Quote
Mutant Orc Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) I suppose this explains why the masks have a lift-y launch-y brain function to flip off their masks- "If the Skull Spider latches onto the Protector’s BIONICLE® head, it can pop the trigger and release the mask." Seemingly Lewa has some air powers still. "Match up against the evil Skull Spider with Lewa – Master of Jungle! Power up the dual-purpose X-glider to soar into the sky. When you spot the Skull Spider crawling from the ruins, swoop down to the ground and convert the X-glider into 2 massive battle axes." or at least a jetpack thing Edited October 11, 2014 by Mutant Orc Quote
GK733 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 They uploaded the presentation pics to their Facebook page. EXCEPT there is no pic featured of the temple of time and the six different colours (toa?) crashing to Okoto. Featured in 28:30 Are they guarding a secret or why it isn't there? Quote
Agent Fusion Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 It also appears that the Skull Spiders are actively searching for the masks, rather than just attacking the Toa (it feels good to call them that again). Quote
Still Raindrop Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) I love those pictures--the art style really is reminiscent of the MNOG, but it keeps its own style. Okoto looks awesome, both in the less cartoony top view and what we see of the landscape itself. I may like it even better than Mata Nui. And I think it's great that the boxes will have small cartoons on them. Really, the immersion into this world that we're seeing reminds me of 2001, and that's a very good thing in my book (the feeling that it was a real island with real legends and history, not just a backdrop, was part of what I love about Bionicle when I first got hooked). Also, Ekimu's sarcophagus? Oh man. Edited October 11, 2014 by Mariko Quote
Quisoves Pugnat Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Seemingly Lewa has some air powers still. Indeed, his bio on the Bionicle website states Powers: Communes with plants and the wind. Quote
Mutant Orc Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Oops, I didn't notice it there and I've read that too. Mustn't have been concentrating enough! Quote
dviddy Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Okay. Question to DeeVee, or anyone else that can actually answer this: How do the new guns fire? I know it's a rapid fire system, and I know it's very reliable and it shoots up to 6 studs, but hau? ...I'll see myself out. There's a separate part that goes in the center and has an axle rod space you put a rod through. The studs attach to the rounded parts on front, and then you turn the axle, and the inside portion spins. It has a notch on it that strikes the studs and forces them out. It works incredibly well. snikttrooper Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) So there is a confirmed animated series? Apologies for not knowing. Edited October 11, 2014 by snikttrooper Quote
Kalhiki Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 So there is a confirmed animated series? Apologies for not knowing. Short animations (around 90 seconds each) on the website. No full-on TV series, unfortunately. Quote
Mutant Orc Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 It should be easier for me to view them on the internet, so I'm not too bothered, although its odd they're so short. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Just had a look on BS01. They're doing a great job of handling "Gen 2" of Bionicle. Quote
