Personally i think the new bone pieces speak a lot about the future direction of Bionicle, each set being made more specifically so that their are not any spare holes or ball joints left over. That can be viewed as both a positive and a negative depending on how you feel about the pieces in question.

Wow, tons of disappointment so far :P I personally like what I'm seeing so far... Well, all except for the Scorpion. But remember guys, the first three could be fakes... It's not too hard to make them if you know how!

I doubt the first three are fakes, early leaks thats for sure, but given they contain similar pieces to the Skull Grinder who seems to be with a fairly finalized set design, i'm pretty sure they are legitimate sets.

Which plenty of LEGO fans are, surely?

That said, I don't mind the new pieces, anymore than I mind this piece. On its own it's limited, but in tandem with other pieces, it's lovely.

I think Skull Grinder uses tr. red, not tr. pink... But yeah, these sets are terrible.

Love Ekimu's shield. Skull Grinder looks nice (is that a white torso ?). Actually, I also think MMvSG is the best set of the wave, the other ones don't impress me. But I think I'll change my mind when I'll see better pics.

It's basically the problem people had with ccbs, but turned up to 11. The amount of technic connection points, (or apparently connection points of any kind?) steadily reducing. Which is weird, given that the other new pieces developed for the new Bionicle have plenty. The new weapon pieces thus far look just like they were lifter straight out of 2004.

I mean sure, the vahki and some barraki didn't have any upper leg armour, but they at least had places you could attatch stuff if you wanted. These pieces don't even seem able to take armour.

New bones are...literally bones. They fit these sets well, but I don't really know what else they are gonna be all that useful for.

If the new limb pieces have pin-holes, I'll be fine with them. Though they don't look like they have them now, if they do they might bring back a more "BIonicle" feel, to me at least. I'm still skeptic over the cheaper sets, definitely getting Ekimu vs Mask Grinder though.

I'm also saddened by the fact they're regressing into nonsensical greeble sticks for the weapons, again.

I'd say that Skull Grinder, Slicer and Basher all have gold versions of their masks.

As for Skull Scorpio i'm not sure, might be his golden mask, might be a random gold mask

Yeah, you're right. Meanwhile, his legs make his body resemble the classic LEGO "pathetic cage hanging off the side of the main build". The fact that it the main build doesn't help.

Not all too good. Super blurry, more so than even the initial IfB summer prelims.

Thanks for the links! I actually found it a moment or so prior. I will take a good look in a moment, but from the glances I have seen I am not sure how good the sets look.
