Me too, I wasn't offended by it. You guys need to calm down. No need to get all up in arms. Let it go and don't lose your way folks.

Did I really just make two song references?

Anyways I'm still excited for this next wave! 7 Skull Warriors, 1 Skull Slicer (champion reasons), 3 Skull Scorpy-scors (best nickname is best), and 3 Skull Mini-Minotars here I come! Will also get MMVSG and then extras for the worthwhile combo models. And none of these are for moc purposes just want an army like I did for Skrall. 2 Spooky 2 Handle the Hype!

Sorry for those who took it serious. All fun and play.

No, don't feel bad. I get it; I like to do that to my family and friends too  . Don't worry: I'm cool with it  . Just don't lose your way. That's what I always say.

Dang it! I did it again... *sigh* Rhymes.....

Say, I'm traveling in the UK now and got to go to Watford, where I found the whole collection. Unfortunately, the $15 sets correspond to $20 US (they're 12 pounds)... Has anyone found them in France, where they should be a tad cheaper and closer to the US price? I'm going there next week and need to know whether I should pass on the rest of the collection or just get them all here... Thanks!

EDIT: Great! I see on the map that France is green! Is there a specific store? My phone call usage is limited so I cannot call all the stores in relatively close proximity and check... Thanks!

No, they all have the new sets (Lille, Paris, Disneyland, and Clermont-Ferrand). Here, the 15$ sets are 15€, and MMVSSG costs 30€. I'm going to Lille on Monday to get them, perhaps we'll meet there.

7 Skull Warriors seems like a lot... Hoping for pics when you get them all, would like to see how they all look as an army :3

I've caved. I'll be ordering all of the skellies next week from Amazon, including a second copy of Skull Warrior so as to get an even number of the new bones.

Have any plans for the new bones?

Nope, no summer Bonkels in Finland yet.

Would expect them to arrive somewhere right before August haven't been able find them from any retailers sites in here yet.

xD I wish you luck. Hopefully we get those pieces in varying colours eventually

Hope so, I could see them working on insect like creatures if there will be recolors of them.

lol jk. Texas gets them usually in July. Sorry for the evil lie.

jus for fun. come on..

stop making me feel bad.

While I'm not against jokes, your "joke" did not add to the discussion and derailed the thread- please refrain from doing that again.

In the comics, it's implied there's also only one Basher, but we're gonna have to wait to see the animations first, I guess.

Oh, brilliant! Thanks for the info- I regret spending USD 40 for Slicer and Warrior... :(. Anyway, I'll probably be at the Paris store, so unfortunately I will not get to meet you... Another time, perhaps ;)

Now my wallet is getting ready for the rest... And maybe some Ninjago too. Again, thanks much!

Meanwhile, I'll be using those lovely tr. apple green bones to make Meltdown 2.0.

Ooooh, that sounds like the way he was meant to be. You going to be posting pics? Assuming you're serious, my bad. XD

I'm completely serious. I'm going to be using tr. apple green Invasion from Below tanks instead of his old ones and I'm replacing his one-piece tentacle with one made from 4-length lime bones. I think Skull Slicer's bones will be perfect for indicating feed lines to his weapons and stuff like that.

I'll be interested to see what you come up with! I've already made my own Meltdown 2.0, but my design was far more liberal in its interpretation of Meltdown than it seems you plan yours to be.

Agreed, sounds pretty badass. I almost forgot about Meltdown's trans apple green pieces. Hm. Also brings to mind the use of his tentacle, I like your idea implementing the bones instead. My opinion on that Kalmah tentacle is pretty neutral, lol. Sorry for making this off-topic. x_x

It's not all too off-topic, since I'm mostly interested in G2 Bionicle just for the sheer amount of revamp potential that comes with the launch of a new line and its associated flood of new and recolored pieces. The new tr. neon green bone pieces? Fodder for my Toxic Reapa revamp. Gali's azure shells? Ditto, but for the Queen Beast.

Anyway, I'm really wondering if we should start up a separate topic for G2 story discussion. It didn't really turn out that well with Ninjago's topic, since we're still dealing with people posting story stuff in the set topic, but if Bionicle starts producing books and a larger amount of media again, it might be useful to split the topic to avoid bloat.

The reason why people still post story stuff in the set thread is because of how media-focused NINJAGO is on a whole, people will be talking about the sets alongside the story frequently. Another part of that is that it's annoying for a lot of people to discuss something in two different threads, one of which is located in a part of Eurobricks that not everyone visits (meaning, some people aren't even aware that the TV show thread exists). Most people are probably going to disagree with me on this, but it's just easier to have a single area for discussing Bionicle 2015 (or 2016, when that time comes) than to split it into two different forums.

I doubt LEGO is going to begin producing lore books and whatnot on the scale of G1 though.

It might not be on that scale, but it's still apparently increasing, what with the fact that we do have a few books coming out. I agree with you though, it's going to cause more problems than it'll solve if a media topic is created.

Chances are the books wont bring too much to discuss anyway likely being a re-telling of the winter and summer story arc, but even if they did bring up a lot of new stuff i doubt it would get to the stage where we are overwhelmed with things to talk about given the release schedule. Books along with (hopefully) animations will need to tie us over until the next set leaks, then set release, followed by more books. Its nice to have a variety of things to talk about at any given time.

Essentially after the set releases there is normally a drought in discussions until we get leaks, and the cycle repeats. The animations we discuss briefly but most the time the discussion is limited due to the length of the animations. Unless we get a bunch of books coupled with a TV series then i doubt it will get as hectic as the Ninjago topic in terms of story discussion.

Would prefer being able to talk about the story details (even if they needed to be spoiler tagged) in this topic anyway as i feel there may be topics to discuss that link the two - such as accuracy of sets to descriptions or animations, potential hints at new sets, characters we could have gotten that are mentioned in the books, etc...

It might not be on that scale, but it's still apparently increasing, what with the fact that we do have a few books coming out. I agree with you though, it's going to cause more problems than it'll solve if a media topic is created.

To be fair at the moment i believe we only have three books scheduled for this year and they appear to be split over three months during the drought between set leaks and set release, so i doubt it will be too cluttered

As someone who actually only checks in every so often to check out if there are any news regarding the sets themselves (I actually never really got that deep into the story of Bionicle, I watched only a few movies and checked some of the bonus discs out), I'd appreciate the split into two separate threads.

Posted (edited)

I'm torn about the split threads idea. On one hand it would be great and easy to discuss the toys and their story roles/media seperatly, but on the other hand those two things often go hand in hand.

Lets say some new content gets released; a Bionicle video game or something. So discussion for the game is in the media thread. In said game there is a teaser for next year's stuff (like what they did with the Bohrok in MNOG) so now the toy thread doesn't know about this until someone brings it up, but by then both threads are probably now talking about the same thing; next year's stuff. On the contrary, maybe people in the media thread want to talk about game mechanics while the toy thread wants to talk about the teaser.

So is a division really necessary? Probably not right now, but maybe later.
